Please give us way to distinguish between new and veteran players (average level)

i just hate this "im a veteran player"... sorry but being a veteran in ffxiv isnt amazing , its just very easy, nothing in the game actually is hard... its pretty much a lolpost imo. i think as long as the game is easy as it is and you cant do much but spamming a monster to death by perhaps added use of brainless BR spams. We should be happy for new players and don't crap on them with our elitism. Rather help them or sometimes perhaps learn from them.

And since the game might be changed in some or many cases quite a lot, perhaps some aspects are gonna change completely, nobody will be the veteran after these changes anyways.

Thinking back to ffxi i sometimes had the best (fastest, most fun, very effective) parties with a "weird" setup. Many so called veterans would rather laugh about it but THEY failed in the end...

Everyone who wants to shine out others shoudl do so in RL since in an mmo it has nothing to do with being good, its just a time issue 99% of the time and in ffxiv its 100% so far.

there will be enough occasions for the e-peen contest soon enough.

Antling or diremite? If u try at copperbell mines one the diremites i doubt that happens if u did on arc used multi shot. My point was u can't beat something ten levels over you just using 1 and no other skill. Maybe doblins back in the day but not anymore

dungeons, instances, open world nms etc. need more tactics and much more difficulty. So seeing people with a great drop or a very good team/ls with the great gear shoudl be enough so people know that you are at least not a complete game-retard.

It wouldnt be that obvious but people would know, oh damn he has this XXX gear, cool stuff, and they perhaps try to work to get that stuff too... something like that...

I think something like this would only serve to separate people rather than bring them together.

the reverse happens more tbh. People use post count to insult others, like "oh you got 3000 of stupidity" << mappens more then people using post count to say they are awesome :P

Most ppl that have more then 5craft 50 are using bots and that not a lie i found over 3+ website selling fishing,mining,botany, and Craft bots and there even one for free so sadly there not bad ass about having a little icon telling you have everything 50 maybe if this was ff11 before the cap rise and you got yourself maat cap

I can't agree with OP. Like others have already said, your idea promotes elitism which is the last thing a game with a small population needs because elitism destroys communities. If you want to brag about how many 50s you already have, you already have ffxivpro, xivpads, and lodestone.

Having a bunch of 50s doesn't necessarily make you the better or more knowledgeable player, a r30 could have spend weeks getting that rank and know all the tricks of the trade already.

True i would say a rank 30-40 is a very knowledgeable player but also it's up to how many other sub class he have and which spell he got to make his class better but at the end i agree we don't need this type of system getting everything 50s is like me logging in ffxi and level up all my class 30-90 it does not even matter it so easy.

which is very sad because not even wow is as casual as ffxiv is now.
