No. We don't need more easymode elitism.

No. We don't need more easymode elitism.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
Blacklist them. Or better yet, sit back and watch them fail miserably, then when they die, do /point /laugh and don't raise them. Those people aren't worth your time. If they don't learn to stop being an asshat, and don't learn to play their job, they will not get very far in an MMO. People like that just aren't worth your time.
Although i'll admit, sometimes it's fun to fight with them. Lodestone their profile, then just pull out the good old internet argument of "How many r50's you got?"
As Endemerrin, a system like that will cause more harm than good. New players will get frustrated because it will become hard for them to get parties, etc. And not all new players are bad. While not all are great, it's rare I run into someone that makes me go, "Wow, this person sucks."
With the way this game is currently, one sour grape in a full party will not ruin it for everyone. If it were XI on the other hand... you'd be screwed.
It's just a pain these days to get parties together if they're not in your LS, and sometimes you can't help but get these ragtag teams together. I think this system would prevent a lot of problems before leves were even activated. Leadership.

No, your ability to play more and rank all classes doesn't make you a better player.
this is a case of butting into others gameplay. It won't help. It will only cause issues, getting parties is already hard for everyone unless your in an LS and even then if you start now not too many ppl woth low ranks.

Well i think this game needs all the players it can get.
i know sometimes you get that one "know-it-all" in a party.
but the beauty of FF is that. you have one character and people remember you.
you can chose to play or not with people.
i would like to think that people who play FF are a little more mature then say some
of these other mmo's.
the game still broken and things are still changing. nobody knows everything yet.
everyone ive ever played with in 11 and 14 have been great, thats what makes it
so special to me.
if this game is gona be successful it has to draw new players. things that split the
community isnt good for the game. thats my opinion
I don't view this as splitting the community. Goodness. I'm saying that it's a brand, a badge. I don't want this so I can avoid partying with other members, it's so that people won't need to tell me what to do since they'll know I've been playing since the beginning etc. It's not an ego thing, in fact, it's to avoid it.

You fail to understand the internet then. Give people a badge with a number on it, and it automatically turns into elitism. Higher numbers think lower numbers suck, and don't want to play with them. Lower numbers get screwed over. Despite the fact that it may, or may not be true.
Look at CoD, and their Prestige for example. "Oh i'm 8th Prestige! I'm better than you!". No, you just play way to fucking much. Same thing will happen here.
What you're saying can be accomplished with a simple, "I've been playing since release. I know what i'm doing thank you very much." A badge or whatever is not going to stop some idiot from thinking they are better than you anyways. If they want to run their mouth, they will.

Then it's not really about the new players, you talk about elitists who show theirselves already at lower levels. The ones you want to mark in this case are exactly the ones who will leave out any player with a newbie-mark on their heads. See the irony? I don't think it's a matter of being new or have many 50s really. Will a player who has many 50s give you a warranty of not being a fool? Is it just those players who only have a 34-rank job that act like they were a god sent down to spare our miserable lives?

Just wait until the retooling of gear/stats and they start to really impact our play. Then you'll see the truly terrible side of elitism rear it's ugly head. Every single time I leveled a new job in FFXI I'd have some knob telling me how I needed to play it because he "had it at 75 and knows what he is talkin about". Awesome advice such as trying to be an evasion Ninja "NIN aren't supposed to DD" or the guy telling me I need more Tav Tacos and need to be wearing my AF body while I was leveling PLD.
Just because you have the job at max doesn't mean you are good at it.
It takes the collective of players to figure out the inner workings of a class/job and they share with others so we can all learn to be better at it, sometimes you have to deviate from the "accepted" ways to truly push to that next limit. An informed and well researched player will best anyone who just maxed the job as fast as possible.

Just your friendly neighborhood elezen

Man up and tell them to go away if you don't want to play with them!
Seriously though, tell them rather than saving it for the forums. It's easy enough to discern between those just talking bullcrap and those who really are experienced and know what they're saying.
I don't want/need a label over my head telling me how good a player I am.
