The "your problem isn't even real, you're making that up. And if it is real, you got what you deserved" posts are kind of rude and tiring. At least try and show some empathy.

Thank you for your feedback. I will forward it to the Please Be Careful department of community engagement for processing and filing. Your business is important to us.Well it is your fault for making this thread, as i am sure you have already heard this many times now, you do not need that much capacity, even 512 is to much.
This is what linkshells are for and why you have 8 slots for them. so that lower capacity excuse is null, Do regular spring cleanings and kick out deadweight. set a limit on how long someone has not been on to remove. but asking for more, unneeded space so you can just pile bodies is not a good idea. and you are right, i sure as hell am not about to read through 34 pages of this crap. so i'm sure this has been beaten into your head already. but i'll go ahead and give you one last reminder. YOU DO NOT NEED MORE FC SPACE, IT'S ALREADY TO MUCH AS IS.
I hope you learned your lesson now. do not ask for things that are not needed. if you truly have 1000+ members ( good luck keeping tabs on all of them) you're going to have one hell of a time organizing, as that is about a quater of a server, and i highly doubt you're anything so special as to everyone wanting to hop in, i mean with that many members i would stay as far away as possible from a FC like that. cause you end up becoming a number without a face.
I already did this, read the thread.
If you spent as much time reading the thread as you did posting mean-spirited, hateful nonsense that is factually incorrect, you would know that you are wrong. And a very mean person.Well it is your fault for making this thread, as i am sure you have already heard this many times now, you do not need that much capacity, even 512 is to much.

I am the PBC officer in charge of organizing our playerbase via web-based applications, though, so thank you for the "luck" wished, though I'm doing a very good job so I don't really need it.

Gods forfend why is this thread still live? Everything that needed to be said (and a whole lot that didn't) has been hashed over 20 times. Game devs have already chimed in and said what they've got planned. If you're new to this thread and haven't read pages 1 through 30 then you have nothing new to add, let the thread die.
Hmm... Stop random recruiting the whole server, perhaps? xD

Sigh...
All your generic statements have been answered. Read page 34. Any complaints about it, make a new thread please.
You don't need to sign your posts, I suggest spending the time reading the thread instead of needless signatures. Your name is in your automatic image, and also to the left of every post you made. Also what you posted is embarrassing (for you) and reveals that you didn't actually read the thread. PBC does not recruit.
I wonder if we should quote this at the top of every page going forward or something.-Ahem-
I am formally making a request to close this thread. Here are my reasons.
The original intention was to get the Square Enix Developers attention to address a problem PBC/DGKK have. They are the same guild, but must spread members across two FCs.
The projected goals were as follows:
Either
A) Allow a greater number for a guild cap, so that all 800+ members can be in the same FC
Or
B) Get confirmation that there will, indeed, be a guild alliance option, to merge communication and/or housing.
A developer confirmed that Scenario B will come into effect at some point. Therefore, this threads purpose has been fulfilled. The only other reason to leave it open would be for an ETA of said feature. But that may be expecting too much.
Keeping the thread open, however, leaves this thread particularly vulnerable to one of several, oft repeated, instances. Posts that follow along the lines of (And with the general responses underneath):
1) "How is it possible to hit the cap!?!"
-Picture of both FC's numbers-
2) "You guys shouldn't need that much space. Kick inactives"
-Many are active, those that are not have things to do in real life, but still play the game on convenient times. Like weekends-
3) "I don't understand how you guys manage that many"
-The FCs come from another community, and are generally well-behaved and get along-
4) "Quality > Quantity"
-That's your opinion. Has nothing to do with PBC/DGKK-
5) "Solution, use linkshells"
-Currently doing so. Not feasible to maintain. Linkshell cap is much lower-
6) "Solution, use talk chat like Mumble/TeamSpeak/GameVox/Whatever else"
-Currently doing so. Not ideal. Voice chat on at all times to communicate between potentially 800 players can be immensely noisy-
7) "Solution, use outside forum"
-Currently doing so. Have done so since 1.0-
8) "You just want the biggest FC to brag. You probably spam /shout for recruiting"
-Guildmasters don't recruit, people ask to join of their own volition. Guild forum is MANDATORY to even be considered.-
9) (Complaints about personal attacks in the form of a personal attack)
-(insert sarcasm here)-
That is a summary of the entire thread for all of you too lazy to read through all 34 pages that I put myself through today.
Moderators. Please close this thread. It can do nothing here but derail further.
uh how do you guys have a thousand members, that is physically impossible. you must be cheating, that's the only explanation and i'm not going to stand for it in yoshi-p's glorious vision of tanaka's vision of the future of gaming. mods please make these guys use restraint in inviting people to their company thanks
I find it hilarious and sad that people can be this judgmental and extremely negative about something that wouldn't affect them in any way, shape, or form if implemented.
If you'd benefit from such a change (or simply think it's a good idea), sign it. If you wouldn't, shut up and leave. I don't understand how people are having problems with this. Do you guys have some sort of fetish with being overbearing? Or are you simply attempting to emulate Congress/Parliament/{insert useless political machine here}?
The entire reason FCs exist is for convenience. If there's a limit that renders them inconvenient for a large number of players, they aren't fulfilling their purpose (say all you want, but 800+ players is a large number of players). If a change can be made, it should be. If it can't, it can't. There's really no need for a discussion or for people to take sides on this.
