Wow. My FC of 14 people now feels incredibly small.
Being 512 (more specifically 2^9) it feels very much like a technical limit, but also probably because they don't want "Super" FCs. 512 people is a lot of people and has the potential for massive influence on a server (market prices and even possibly what content is run/when).
I can't even trying to organise a FC that big, but if you have that many active members... wow. But if they're not active... have a policy where they get kicked if they're inactive for X months and they can re-apply.
We had over 3k in our guild in EQ.
No, it's not. You're overinviting, plain and simple. There is no reason to have that many people there, let alone still needing more.512 members in a guild is a ridiculously low cap.
There isn't even anything you can do in the game with more than 24 people that isn't just free open world content like hunts, anyway.
While I'm not a member of either FC in question, I have read the posts before this. They don't randomly invite, in order to be a member of the FC in question (PBC) you need to be an active member on their forums. Otherwise there's no chance you're getting in. They also regularly delete inactives and move members from their overflows into the main one. The fact is they have a massive community and they don't want people feeling like the B team, or as it now seems, the C team. I hate being the one to say this but please read the previous posts. It may seem like an annoyance but it'll show that your own issue has been answered more than once.

yeah they should increase the cap alos add more fc chest slots like triple the amount and have more then 10 fc actions in reserve
I'm not going to read the rest of this behemoth of a thread because I don't care about the justifications. If you are pushing the limit, you have too many people. There is simply no *need* for that many. Whatever sort of qualifications/barriers are being used for getting in obviously don't matter. While I'm not a member of either FC in question, I have read the posts before this. What I'd love to know is with 512 people... how on earth do you allocate out the garden? Even if you have a large house, surely that's 500+ members who will never even get to use the garden? Same for the Airships?
That's a very good question! Mainly, we have a very complicated and organised system to determine who gets to garden at certain times. We have a very in-depth Excel spreadsheet to manage all the variables such as time spent playing, item level, position of the in-game and real world constellations and how many minions we've collected. Rest assured, this ensures we get the maximum usage out of our gardens.
