    Questions regarding first boss in Sunken Temple of Qarn

    Looked at some guides online, and wanted to double-check some info given.

    First, one said Doom could be interrupted by a pacify ability like a PLD shield bash. If true, would the fairy Selene's silence work as well(me being a SCH)?

    Also read the bees he summons Fatal Sting attack does damage inverse to their health, and won't one-shot you if left at full health. Is this true?

    what you heard about bees is true but... leaving them alive is not a good option .. you will end up 20 - 26 bees in that room

    I'm not sure if Doom can be interrupted by Silence effects, as I've not tried it, but it seems unnecessary. The Doom mechanic is not a challenging aspect at all, and if you're struggling with it, it can probably be corrected with positioning. DPS and healers can simply stand on the middle plate, for example. More times than not, that plate will either be immediately active or activated a few seconds after the Doom cast, and if not, it's a short distance to either remaining plate.

    As for the bees, yes, a bee at full health will not necessarily one-shot anyone with Final Sting. It's an interesting start, but I'd suggest you're better served by just having the DPS focus them down. If the DPS isn't strong enough to each kill one before the Final Sting kills them, then I suppose you could work some strategy where they both focus one down, wait for the other to sting, and then repeat. The problem with this is you'll almost always have bees up, making the fight very long.

    Thanks for the answers so far, you two ^^. Just been trying to figure out some ways to make this fight a lil less of a time sink for when we try to get through this dungeon as a FC group. Had a couple folks swear off the dungeon just because of that first fight (lots of wipes, and our first time through, this led to us pretty much timing out on the last boss :/). Figured that if we were taking Doom out of the equation for a lil, or just taking bees to the face, it might help.

    Doom can be interrupted (ability Mortal Ray), but it's a very quick cast as I recall. Harder to interrupt than most things people interrupt. I always just plan on standing on the tile.

    Bees have such low HP. As a PLD tank I was just about soloing 1 before it used Final Sting. The key is starting the moment they spawn (always spawn same place, not hard to do). And have everyone help. Even healer can throw a quick nuke or 2 and it makes a dent. Mediocre geared groups should be able to take the bees down before final sting with the right approach.
