    Question for lvl 50 Weavers

So I hit lvl 50 today as a Weaver...then I immediately set out to make a full set of HQ Patrician Gear. It was easy enough.

My craftsmanship is at 303 , my control is at 293 and my CP is at 295.

So when I started to make twinthread....I can make it...but I come nowhere near close to HQ...it's like when you first started to make wool yarn for the very first time and you think "yup...Ill need to lvl a few more times first.

My Spinning Wheel is Militia HQ and I have the Lvl 50 clotho pin.

Are there any pointers to get high quality twinthread? I mean I don't come even close....maybe 20% quality. And I don't want to make the Green lvl 20 as non quality.....

or should I? Since the non HQ will still have the same stats as my Patrician plus an additional CP

Level up other DoH classes and equip more cross-class skills.

Its not very necessary to actually need to use HQ Twinthread if you work on other DoH for their cross-class skills, but yes, even with cross-class skills 40/40 durability items are quite tricky to HQ.

My best advice to you besides getting those skills is to perhaps use HQ Effervescent Water. They're generally not very expensive and add 120 quality.

    thanks for your advice...

I actually skipped HQ Twinthread and focused on everything else hq.

I have a full set of Weaver Gear now. Now I am just saving up money for the class 3 materia

there is 2 useful early skill from other DoH which is good incase you dont want leveling other DoH too much
lvl 15 Leatherwork Waste Not- halves durability for 4 steps (for 4 steps it use 5 durability instead of 10)
lvl 15 alchemist Trick of the Trade - restore 20 CP when condition is good

    here what i always do
    Inner quiet > Steady Hand(optional) >Waste Not
with that you can easily get hq item

That's what I was doing until I found out it's slightly better to put steady steady hand after waste not as you end up with the same amount of moves left but with an additional steady hand move.

    An example for 40 durability:
Inner quiet > steady hand > waste not > 4x standard touch > 20 durability left > 2 moves left
Inner quiet > waste not > steady hand > 3x standard touch > great strides > standard touch > 15 durability left > 2 moves left

If you are new to Weaver 50 and haven't established bad habits it's better than you think.

Careful Synthesis II has great virtue but when trying to craft higher stuff like Twin Thread is falls short. The 120% efficiency isn't enough to get the job done. You can use food to bulk up your Craftsmanship and make it work but that food could have been used on control. You will find you have enough CP to add in standard Synth 15 and a second steady Hand to keep it over 100% for the progress bar actions.

tldr: Careful Synthesis II on twin thread is a crutch.

Unless you use a BSM's Ingenuity, it will take you 3 Careful Synthesis II's to get a Twinthread finished. With Ingenuity, it drops down to 2. If you're daring enough, you can try using Steady Hands II + Rapid Synthesis (80% chance of success with SH2) / Standard Synthesis (100% chance of success with SH2) to oneshot it

But yeah, it's hard to HQ Twinthread (or any 1 star 40/40 craft for that matter) unless you have a good mix of cross-class skills, HQ materials, and good equipment/materia builds

If your WVR meets the threshold for making 2-star items (347 Craftsmanship), 2 Careful Synthesis IIs is all it takes to complete a Twinthread without Ingenuity.

Yeah I'd suggest going for HQ Jewelry and get at least a few Materia slotted in it, every addition to control is welcome and with Ingenuity II and enough Craft, you can one shot progress without a problem (or with rapid synthesis, altough it has only 80% success with SH II)
