Botting woes

Not sure if this is a good place to put this. I ran across a couple bots while gathering in Central Shroud on Diabolos server. I could see their names sometimes. A couple times I could even see their heads. I could even hear when they finished gathering and put their axe away. I can not wait until SE can do something about this.

There is a way to report in game. Check the support desk menu to report botting. Posting it here will do nothing.

Doesn't do any good to report them. We've had the same bots farming diromite webs in the same exact location since the game released on my server. If you played FF11, just expect them to always exist just like they never were gotten rid of in 11. Bot'ing is ok apparently to SE, but the gil they make is not. So basically SE will let them exist as long as they pay for the account, and then go in behind and just punish the people that buy the gil from the person bot'ing. Sucks, but thats how SE rolls on this situation.

There is no evidence that I know of that shows SE has ever banned gil buyers, sadly.

Because if they did ban gil buyers, they wouldn't be able to renew their subscriptions and SE would lose a lot of money.

Ban all the bots and double the monthly fee.

It's sad that I agree with this. I see the same bots I reported on day 1 still in the game but I got my GIL removed for selling on the market. Love how ass-backwards things are with SE.

I think SE should give some people the power to ban accounts... I will gladly walk my world and ban people that are doing illegal stuff and take screen shots to prove it... At least they would be banned instantly and it wouldn't cost SE a thing... Everyone is happy except the RMT's and Gil buyers...

If you played 11, just get used to seeing the same gil buyers, sellers, and bots forever. They used to form hnm shells and counter camp legit linkshells, then try to sell the drops for gil to sell or sell the items out right on their web sites. SE doesn't care, never has when it comes to dealing with RMT no matter what they say on a forum post. Wouldn't be surprised to find out they have a share in it making the game kinda like pay to win.
