    Advise needed for coil turn 4

    Hi All,

    recently my team progress to coil turn 4. Although there is guide or videos youtube regarding the fights, we still somehow or rather felt very confuse for the fights in our DPS and tank aggro.

    Our setup: 1 x pally / 1 x war / 1 x sch / 1 x whm / 1 x drg / 1 x blm / 2 x brd.

    Our gears: healers using vanya set / war is 2 pc mytho / DPS and pally using DL set with ilvl70 crafted accessories

    phase 1 : cleared
    phase 2 : we always have 1 soldier up with full HP or if lucky 70% HP.
    phase 3 : we always down dread at last minute when bugs spawned.
    phase 4 : in progression....

    But if i compare to the "guides" or videos.. it seems that during phase 2 all adds down before dread spawned... this is something really puzzle or confusing me......

    Phase 2 fight:
    pally tank 1 x soldier / 1 x knight
    war tank 1 x soldier / 1 x knight

    our blm cant target on pally soldier first as he gets the aggro easily off pally so he target war's soldier first.

    The rest of the DPS will focus on pally's knight -> war's knight.

    But it always seems that we are not able to down 4 adds before dread spawn.

    Any advise or any help needed. pls

    Try swapping one of the bards for another magic dealer. If you aren't going with more than 1 damage dealer you have to dish out extra damage to get rid of the stoneskin on one of the pair of clockwork mobs every time they spawn.

    thanks for the reply!

    I understand that the optima setup for DPS would be 2 x MDPS and 2 x PDPS. But we are just trying to see if it is possible to down with 3 phy and 1 mag..... as i seem alot videos the setup is almost same as us, just that they using smn instead of blm.

    It sounds like a DPS issue, which is a pretty common problem in turn 4.

    Just make sure all your DDs are using optimal rotations and getting the absolute most out of their damage capability and you'll get it down eventually. I'd argue keep the DRG and 2 BRDs over another magic DD since DRGs piercing resistance debuff works well for a 2 BRD setup.

    There's nothing wrong with your setup. 3 physical DPS + 1 Magic DPS is fine. Definitely some kind of DPS issue.

    thanks for the feedback...

    we tried by all means to "enhance" our DPS....

    sch using selene...
    1 of the brd will sing *something to increase elemental dmg*
    drg will cast IDC to enhance piercing dmg....

    But still.... the last soldier do not want to die before dread......

    headache...

    The trick is to keep let the main tank kill the knight himself at 30% hp... Kill off the soldier of the main tankard damage the the knight to 30%. Then kill off the other 2... Sch has to use selene

    will try using this method tonight....

    anybody know how the shield wear off from soldier? Is it like those "mana shield" using raw dmg to break it or is base on knight?

    since you guys have 2 bards have one bard to play foe's requiem(+battle voice if your BLM needs more DPS boost) at the soldier/knight phase
