Non tele Bot Miners

On my server these type of bots are not in groups and they bot solo. Their routine are different but it is always repeating same thing over and over. So high chance is player 's bot.

Watched a youtube video on my phone last night showcasing how to set up that non-teleporting bot system. I've reported the URL to SE and I hope they seriously bring out their claws, this nonsense has gone on long enough.

Just a quick google search will show what the popular bots are for players right now, and they aren't teleporting ones. But they all work basically by just recording a path for the character to run repeatedly, and hotspots are set where the resource nodes spawn. If a node is spawned when the character passes, the character stops and harvests it before continuing on the recorded path. They can use a mount and/or sprint ability in-between hotspots and will jump over obstacles automatically (I've noticed in-game that some of the bots jump unnecessarily when going up hills probably because of the obstacle avoidance/jump deal).

It's pretty obvious in any case when the same botting players are at the same mining/botany area for days (and nights) and that never deviate, hesitate, or log off. I've not seen any of the blatant ones I've reported being removed from the game (even ones that have been at the exact same spots non-stop for over a week). Either SE isn't aware or just isn't taking action against non-teleporting-RMT, botting, part-time botter/players...

I noticed as of lately a lot of bot names fall under simple three key patterns (dfg jkl). Idk if anyone else has a server that does this but, it seems lately people on Hyperion that are DoL'ing it, always have a minion out with them. Usually a pre-order minion or something like Dalamud. While DoL can be a pretty lonely task and minions make it all the more fun, i think its sad that some feel they need to do this just in case they run into a player that automatically assumes they are a bot and reports them. Its like a universal code now until the RMT nonsense is dealt with. Which is hopefully soon!

I would guess the players using path/waypoint bots are just players cheating, care a bit more about losing their account and are trying to look inconspicuous. The ones tele hacking will most likely be RMT.

Just because they dont respond to your whispers doesnt make them a bot.

Ill ignore pretty much every random /tell i get unless you say something interesting. Demand to know If im a bot, of course ill ignore you. Especially if i was watching anime on my offscreen while idly chatting to the FC and running circles.

This. People are getting paranoid now. I've gotten tells accusing me when I've been gathering, and let's face it, the nodes are all in a set position, and running around and around easily makes you look like a bot.
It's a little alarming that if you don't respond to a tell in ten seconds you're somehow a bot. I don't even have tells showing up on my main chat.

yes these bots are adaptive and the bs about people ignore tells thats fine but i report all suspicious activity i am tired of bots i am tired of cheats i have submitted many reports with fellow fc members if your are not part of the solution you're part of the problem, we now have bots hiding in the rocks we have bots not using teleport that ride the mount from node to node kinda funny when the node is right next to the one they just tapped,or how the bot tries to climb a tree thats locked up.

if we want our game back we need to be active in helping get rid of this pond scum filth, so far i see success many of the bots reported are now gone.

I also see more blind FC invites going out by idiot FC leaders you need to get your heads out your arse when you blind invite all you are doing is asking for trouble many of the bots were in FC and a bad reputation is not a good thing.

if people are saying this then you must be doing something to get attention, I could be wrong OR you are just dealing with jerks, i have got a tell or two saying same thing to me i just laugh at them and respond with a HELL NO!

By the way the server i play on it's not uncommon to see 10 mining bots in same area so paranoid no i call it pissed off and concerned.

I saw a miner in Western Thanalan last night that was controlled by a human.
