Non tele Bot Miners

I was just outside Ul'dah yesterday, in Central Coerthas, mining Shards (dam do I need a load of these things). I was running from node to node and noticed no more telebotting. I thought, 'nice, the botters are losing out'. until I saw something odd about the way the other 4 miners were moving. They were running to a node spot that had not popped. Then I was watching the routes they were taking. All 4 moved in the exact same pattern. Running past a node to make a reverse at an exact same spot repeatedly, running in a set pattern everytime. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a few minutes and sent a /Tell with no response. Report them I did and will continue to do so. I encourage others to do the same. Please be watchful of them and make sure of your complaints as well.

The nodes do move I think there is like 6 diferent spots per 4 nodes and if it was jsut a multi boxer than there not RMT. But yea no reply makes them kinda fishy.

Those using bots have started moving to the type of bot which is harder to detect...

Bots that run between points instead of teleporting.
Bots that stand in range of spawns and attack with ranged attacks instead of teleporting between them.

SE was late with fixes, so RMT has already adapted to stay more than one step ahead.

As I mentioned in another bot thread, I saw the same thing. I believe these are more subtle replacement bots for the old teleport-partially-below-ground ones that have been constantly mining the same spot (lost track how many times I reported them) the last couple of weeks.

Just because they dont respond to your whispers doesnt make them a bot.

Ill ignore pretty much every random /tell i get unless you say something interesting. Demand to know If im a bot, of course ill ignore you. Especially if i was watching anime on my offscreen while idly chatting to the FC and running circles.

This. People are getting paranoid now. I've gotten tells accusing me when I've been gathering, and let's face it, the nodes are all in a set position, and running around and around easily makes you look like a bot.
It's a little alarming that if you don't respond to a tell in ten seconds you're somehow a bot. I don't even have tells showing up on my main chat.

Bot do some very stupid thing though. Their turning point is always the same , you can place your character on that spot and they will always turn there. When they move away from their path to a node, they will always run back to the point they left the path. Their path is always the same bots run on the same path line with 100% accuracy.

So even if you don't reply. Ppl like me who mine nodes everyday at the same place for 3-4 hours a day will be able to recognise if you are a bot or human without pming you.

I love the replies to this thread. Ppl trying to play down on non tele bots. Most of them are players who multi box and botting on that sub account. Reported quite a few of them. Verified with other miners that those are bots. Reported them but after 3 weeks they are still in game. So to those ppl who trying to say something else. Try go and check it out out yourselves. You will be astonish by the amount of players who bot and not caught since launch.
