Those two ideas sounds really lame. I would much rather they just dropped, this game really needs regular nice drops to go after both in dungeons and out in the world.Instead of mobs dropping cards have a quest that gives you an item. Once mob is weakened, use item to capture it's essence. This essence can then be "imprinted" on a blank card by a crafting profession (maybe any like dyes).
Blank cards can be made and sold, game cards too.
You already have gear, LTW mats and some CUL mats dropped by mobs. Not to mention capturing "essences" would require you to hunt down in the world.
It's not all about battle content and with taht system i stated above both crafting and battle classes have an input.
