Thread: Patch Notes - 2.1

We are constantly being given tiny bits of information about the next patch. Can we please have one official forum post from a dev that is edited regularly to reflect the current upcoming changes? All other LARGE SCALE MMO games have these in their forums and I'm one of many who are tired of listening to rumors and blatantly false assumptions that players are pushing as absolute truth. Please consider this for Lodestone or the forums.

Absolutely, SE need to change how it handle this stuff.

Most MMO's put up the patch notes WITH the patch. If you put notes up beforehand, savvy traders can manipulate markets (By working out imminent changes in demand and supply and thus buying up future hot stock in advance)

Really? Most MMORPGS games I've played in the past have a test realm server of some sort with "Test Realm Patch Notes" subject to change. But they are most certainly available prior to the patch and just get updated/changed accordingly.

Certainly the likes of EVE and GW2 that don't treat their in-game economies as disposable don't. Doing so results in wild market fluctuations that people who got the patch notes early can exploit - particularly RMT's who have the capital to flip huge profits and crash entire market sectors.

This. Any decent MMO has a public test server so the live servers don't have to be used as guinea pigs.
