No wonder we don't have nice things when all you people do is complain about every little issue.

First, it's not an exploit until SE says it is. Untill then, it's an alternative strategy.

Second, SE has more important things to to than to worry about players using a piece of terrain to beat one boss on one dungeon that drops sub-optimal gear and weekly restricted currency on the last boss.

Third, if your party wants to use this strategy and you don't, then leave the party. You have free will. Nobody is forcing you to do anything.

Fourth, if you are frustrated that this happens in duty finder, make some friends or join an FC and create your own AK group. Take some ownership over the situation and do something instead of complaining about it on the forums.

The sense of entitlement and egocentric thought in parts of this community is astounding.

That's what I call some euphemistic description of what clearly qualifies as non-intended gameplay (aka exploit).

You stand on that tree and all of a sudden you completely cancel all of the mechanics that makt up this fight, as you magically don't get hit by ground AoE effects, though you clearly stand in the void zone and you don't get hit by mobs that are clearly aggroed (is that even a word?) on you. Not getting hit by things that are clearly supposed to hit you under the given circumstances (standing IN the void zone and having emnity of the golems) is not exploit? Wake up. All it takes is common sense to tell that this is not working as intended. Some similar issue occured to me during the chimera fight (relic quest) yesterday, as some random guy wanted to explain an "alternative strategy" for not having to deal with the dragon's voice at all (no moving, no interrupting), all it would take was to drag the chimera to certain place far away from where it originally stands ... clearly not intended and I denied to use such a strategy.

And that part of "it's not an exploit until SE says it" ... that's some serious BS. Maybe SE doesn't know of each and every exploit/glitch out there (otherwise the glitch would have been fixed prior to release). So in your mindset the guys slaying Twintania (Coil Turn 5) after purposefully bringing it into complete stall mode (it doesn't move or attack or use any actions at all) at around 80% health did nothing wrong and are to be awarded the legitimate world first kill title, just because SE didn't tell them beforehand that this bug existed and that this was an exploit? I can't stress this often enough, all it takes to realize that something is an exploit is just common sense.

And that, dear Aryden, is the very definition of an exploit: Taking advantage of a bug in the game mechanics. So standing on the tree is an accepted bug, then guess what, taking advantage of that bug is an exploit by definition. No further discussion needed.
