There is an exploit on the first boss for AK - the healer is able to stand in a tree at the perimeter of the battlefield, and the adds are unable to hit them. It essentially allows people to bypass worrying about the Stone Marionettes entirely. Please fix this - it's exceedingly uncomfortable to play a healer and feel pressured into this by speed-running DF groups.

There may be a lot of threads with this same topic, but people shouldn't be forced to leave a group and take a 15 minute penalty because someone else refuses to not use an exploit.

Even if I were a DPS or Tank and someone insisted on doing this I would leave the party. Just because you don't do it doesn't mean the ban/suspend hammer won't hit you if you stay in a party that does. No different than beating on a boss that is glitched and doesn't hit back.

You act like wasting 15 minutes + duty finder time (which is terrible for DPS) is no big deal.

im more concerned about all the tanks who are too scared to tank 3 mobs all at once and have no idea how to generate enmity

You need to take screenshots and report these people, if they try to force you to cheat or force you out of party if you don't wanna cheat. Need to clean our community a bit.

How do we know this is an exploit? The tree and branch is there for a reason maybe this is just using environment as a strategy. It doesn't effect boss in any way he actually can still hit healer with magic.

That's like saying on the final boss, hiding behind pillars is an exploit because it prevents you from getting hit from catastrophe. Again, using environment to your advantage. Bosses not attacking, getting stuck, etc is totally different. But groups should not force or pressure anyone to do anything. I always ask if healer wants to jump up there, if they say no, it's not a problem and we just deal with adds.

The problem isn't the "exploit", it's the people pressuring those to do things a certain way that doesn't have to be done in that certain way.

Because we have common sense? It is obviously a way to avoid mechanics of the fight that weren't meant to be avoided.

It's plainly stated in the ToS and has been stated by dev's multiple times, anything that causes abnormal mob behavior or causes them to stop functioning all together is an exploit and violates the ToS. Hence the reason I expect to see FC's banned for exploiting Twintania.

Anytime I see healers asking or preferring to use the tree in Ak I tell them to get down or just wipe. Not going to be banned because someone else wants to easy mode an already extremely easy fight

It always makes me wonder considering the amount of parkour-friendly objects in this game, whether or not it is working as intended when I come across landscape objects that can effect battle outcomes. STF also noted in their Oct 1 ban report, that they would prefer you report it using the in-game command [System Menu] -> [Support Desk] -> [Contact Us] -> [Report Cheating] rather than share /disseminate the info with others.
