Suggestion: In-game video recorder

We already have an in-game screenshot button. But, one day, I think SE should implement an in-game video recorder too. This feature can be for people who can't run FRAPS or any other recorder very effectively.

Some games have video recorders which record the game's graphical data so it can be replayed using the game engine at a later date for your viewing pleasure. This way, players can record videos very easily and without their performance taking a big hit. It also preserves the quality of the graphics.

More player-videos circulating can only be a good thing right?

Call of Duty Black Ops has this feature on PS3 i think.

That would be great I run Fraps and when recording the video files are huge 2gb a minute on my settings O.O


I don't see why it wouldn't work on PS3, some games on it already have this kind of thing don't they? Granted they aren't MMO's but there must be some way to do it.

Nothing I heard of. Only one that does Was halo 3, and it was a cheap one and they had it only because it linked the a website. SE would need to make a SS and video part on the website where you can post it from the game. I'm sure that is what those other games do. I don't think it would work for mmo though. I would love if it could but I think the steam would suck.

Black ops has it and you can directly upload it to youtube or you can store it on hdd. Why wouldn't it work for an mmo? Oh wait it would...

Yes it would work on ps3 and just because it didn't shouldn't mean pc version shouldn't have it. PS3 been had video recording capabilities for long time now

I Do not really play games on my ps3 so I didn't know. And shouldn't make a game to different on 2 platforms wouldn't be fair. Though I said it wouoldn't didn't mean I thought it was a bad idea.

I love making vids Did a few from WoW. Used wegame game recorder and windows movie maker. Did what I needed it to do

Actually no. And most ppl have said wrong info. No need to be a dumas yourself to make you appear better then me when infact your not. I'm not a fps person nor play game on the ps3 really. Halo 3 is the only game I seen it in. I based what I say from personal experiences.
