Yea if you use WoW dungeon finder as an example they usually let you attempt stuff with like gear 20 item levels lower then what the zone drops, which is a lot lower then what players would ask for if making their own group. In MMOs they let you try with some lower level gear then what people want, but it keeps out that guy wearing like horribly bad low level leveling gear.
