Pretty sure the coil raid is balanced for 8 people not 10, thats just how it is.
A simple solution would be to change the loot system from direct drops to currency, then instead of locking people out of the dungeon on completion, lock them out of rewards. Have you completed Turn 1 this week? Then you can help a friend with Turn 1 so he can get the currency, but you're not allowed to receive more currency this week. Comparatively, the lockout right now, I imagine, is mostly to prevent people from rotating one person and having them receive 2 whole pieces of gear.
No. No more tokens thanks.
I'm the Bloodgaru Queen.
And see more shouts about "selling Coil Turn clears and loot"? No thanks. Try and think outside of the box. And honestly, if you have played other MMO's for the last 5 years or so, you should have been used to these lock outs.
I think that is literally the only downside. The positives outweigh the negatives.
A loot lockout instead of a boss lockout would be a great idea imo. I can't tell you how many times i have to watch a friend of mine miss out on loot for the week when they only need more 1 healer (im a healer). Also it'd be a great way to get an FC members more gear. It only promotes selflessness if you think about it.
Remove lockout
Get all Coil gear in a week
???????
Profit
I don't even...
Rotate people. We have about 27 in our FC ready for Coil.
It's 8-man, it's not changing.
I can tell from this post that you did not read the entire post this person posted.
What kari is asking for is to remove the Lockout for entering Coil once per week and replace it with Loot Lockout.
Loot Lockout will function just like Entrance Lockout Coil currently has now but instead of locking out the players entirely from entering coil again they are locked out from obtaining loot from coil again instead. Ya you can enter coil again to get myth tomes for your weekly 300 limit but it will still be impossible to get all allagan gear in 1 week.
Ya you can run Coil again for the myth tomes and helping friends get their weekly Coil loot but you will not be able to obtain any more loot for the entire week yourself until the weekly reset.
Loot Lockout out for coil will also add another benefit being a alternate method to obtain Myth tomes. Currently the Entrance lockout system coil has now prevents Coil from being a alternative method from obtaining myth tomes from AK.

I support loot lockout. NO TOKENS!
I'd love to help more groups
Lock is fine, but I hope there is df for this, so people could practice. For people without good FC , it is very hard for them to get a group.
Coil is designed for low man statics.
Nothing wrong with coil lockouts... the issue is there is no guild related content... and coil is BIS.
So coil is screwing over guilds hardcore in this game because of the 8 min/max and lockouts. If you do not have exact numbers someone gets screwed. That is just bad design in my opinion.
They need to add guild related BIS content... or remove the lockouts and reduce the drop rates drastically.
This precisely. It's bad design. I want difficulty, not artificial time sinks with lock-outs and whatnot.
Some people are arguing really awful things, like "it's not designed for 10 people", like really?
AK is designed for 4 people, Primals are designed for 8, I don't see them locking people out.
I don't mind "slow" gear progression, or difficulty, but I do mind when I have to tell 2 people they have to wait an entire week to play the game they are paying monthly for.
Lockouts like this would be fine if it was just side-content, but since the game is almost entirely vertical progression, there's nothing to do at endgame except Coil and 300 myths/week.
So you want currency and not direct drops? To me that's every thing that can go wrong with end game PVE. Whats the fun in having currency handed to you just so you can go buy the item, instead of working hard for that said item or items? Sounds like some one that just wants gear handed to them.
People say "end game needs to change" when really, the thing you call end game does not actually fully exist yet. Why don't you have some patience and wait for actual content to be released.
