One of the first Black Mage job quests has you sleep mobs to run past them and achieve an objective.

Sleeping the mobs and running by them is not an exploit per se, Sleeping the mobs, and then using the room lockout to not ever have to face the aggro of the monsters is an exploit.

I don't see anything wrong with sleeping mobs to pass them. You're simply using your class-earned abilities to surpass the dungeon. It's not different than in FFXI when we used to use invis to bypass mobs.

Wait so sleeping mobs and fighting bosses in content you have to repeat 4354357348979832423 times to get your Darklight gear to go into Bahamut's Coil is a ban-able offense?

Yet in town, outside of town, in whisper, I get all sorts of RMT advertisements and jack shit is done about that?

I guarantee you that you could exploit all you want in dungeons / in game and nothing would ever be done about it or to you if they didn't know about it. SE are blind as bats when it comes to actual issues with their game...
