[Suggestion] Ranger class.

So here it goes. The only class I've ever liked in any MMO is the ranged classes, I can't stand mages, for god knows what reason. So I chose Archer to begin with, absolutely LOVED it until I hit 30, expecting some new cool attacks. Completely disappointed. DON'T GET ME WRONG. I know Bards are EXTREMELY USEFUL for parties with their songs and everything! I just wanted a more DPS based bowman rather than a support like in EVERY single other MMO out there. I am tired of always being forced to decreasing my stats make me even weaker, just so we can pass the dungeon/area/whatever. So my suggestion is, implement a second option like a Ranger, more DPS, less support.

*Influence to create this thread: Never enjoyed mele, close up, can't tank for the life of me, healing gets boring after a while, and I can't stand being a mage.

I agree, we need another job for the archer class. If for no other reason than that every other class has two and archer only has one. Besides, the more jobs that are available, the more varied and interesting the party experience will be.

I love it. I am a level 45 Archer at the moment, and while I love bard and see how others would love it as well, a more.... damaged based archer would be awesome. I support this thread. Add Ranger!

Unless I'm mistaken, the only class that has two Job options is Arcanist (Summoner / Scholar).

That being said, I'd love to see another set of advanced jobs. I'm guessing that will come in the first expansion, along the same upgrade lines that FFXI had.

Ninja, maybe, a martial artists with thrown weapons - Pugilist 30, Archer 15
Arcane Archer, archer with spell enhanced attacks for bigger single damage or more AOE - Archer 30, Conjurer 15

I agree!
Bard should recieve more support abilities and there should be a real ranged DD.

I'd also love to see crossbows again.
