[Suggestion] Forum login duration

You guys should make the login lenght a bit longer or add at setup the option to automatically logging back.

Took me the time to post once to notice it was too short. If you guys want it short to avoid idle people, add a clock showing the remaining time and a button to refresh login so those willling to write more than 2~3 lines won't have to log back every time they want to post something.

Having to use your security key to log in is a disaster in my opinion. I brought mine into work today as I knew I'd need it but I assumed once I had logged in I would be remembered; I assumed worng, came back from lunch and I was logged out. There is no chance in hell I'll carry my security key around as the odds are that at some point I'll lose it. Same scenario applies to the Lodestone SE, not your brightest move.

In my opinion we shouldn't use the SE account to login, but the login name - and "link" the forum account to the SE account so you can't create more than one.

So we only need the SE account for the creation of a forum account, and don't need to use it to relog all the time.

I SO have been asking SE this at suggestion and feedback. Makes no sense you using your SE account login/password on a forum or a blog. I believe a secundary username/pswd just for lodestone and forum would be awesome since it wouldn't give access to either SE account or FFXIV, keeping everything protected enough.

This. I don't really like the idea to use my password every... 10 minutes?

I agree the length needs to be longer, I was reading some of the forums and I realized that I had been logged out. Maybe a option to stay always logged in on current comp?

I really don't like having to log in multiple times I have an authenticator number i have to put in every time

How about an option to control the logout duration on your mysettings page?

Well all they really need to do is add an option to stay logged in forever.. To be fair though, the forums ARE in Beta at the moment.
