    Quest Rewards

    Please don't just give us the armor, if anything just give us a few materials. This helps keep the community tight, by the need to help each other out.

    How do you guys think quest rewards should be done?

    My idea, give gear till the first dungeon, than switch to materials, forcing you to get help from other crafters and making crafters more important at the same time. Crafters are not needed at all through out the game, I would like to see them in need sooner than 50.

    crafters are important - they are the only way to get HQ items (besides gathering items which gatherers get)

    also, you can only do a quest once - you have more then one job to lvl

    crafting will be important enough down the road with the importance of materia. most of the gear you get from the 50 dungeons isn't convertible which leaves you with either buying it from a vendor for like 10k a piece or from a crafter for a good chunk less.

    How is materia important? You can do everything without buying a single piece of gear.

    I think the quests should only give you gil and maybe crafting mats. This would go a long way to making crafting while leveling viable and help build up the economy. As it is crafting is virtually worthless while leveling because you get all the gear you need from quest rewards. It's pretty dumb imo.

    I'd rather have more gil from quests so I can buy HQ crafted gear from others. I already do this because I'm not interested in leveling a crafting job myself. But if I select the gil reward from a quest, it's like 500gil and i need like 3-5k gil to buy one piece armor from the market board. I guess it's not SE's fault that people are inflating prices, but I still wish quests gave more monnies.

    Yep, I made a good thread in 1.0 about how the quest rewards should have been done. Similar to what you said.
