update Duty Finder

anyone else aggre SE needs to combine all servers in this.....

i mean im a healer and i even sit in Q for 30min up to over and hour looking for a group.... its starting to get worse and worse everyday

and i dont know about other servers but on mine ppl arnt exactly social its more so F you ill do it myself ordeal or unless you have these type of gear get out dont come back

which in short is making it near impossiable to even get anything done gear wise by the time i sit in Q trying to get a party for it i use most of my time im able to play just trying to get in one and then eaither dont have time to finish or have to just leave Q couse ive waisted my 1-2hours sitting there trying to find one

i dont knwo if its just ppl quitting and fewer and fewer on or just no one gives a dang to do any DGs below 50 (reason i say ppl quitting is past week i have had no issues with server being full at any time as to were the week before everytime i log in i had to wait)

but anyway point is they need to combine all or at least put more servers together couse this whole hour + waitting is getting old and making it extreamly hard to even get anything

may not for some but for ppl liek me who only have a few hours to play a day and less on some days its impossiable almost to get anything

I thought Duty Finder was already multiple servers? Is it just groups of servers right now?

Edit: I do believe I'm going to switch my goal from Dragoon to one of the tanks. If it really is that bad I'll switch back, but generally I enjoy tanking in games.

They were combined across all NA/EU servers to begin with, which caused my problems for its stability, thus made is so we had a lot of log in restrictions in place and a lower cap on the amount of players that count be actively logged in on each world. Do you really want that back again?

then SE shouldnt of launched the game till this was fixed just like the first time with 1.0 they rushed it and failed

i understand lowering it to a few servers again due to that but this is getting old and is making it hard for ppl with little time to play with these hour to for some DDs even 2-3hour waitting time

as of right now im in Q for the 32 DG and have been for 56mins now and im a WHM

and those who say its couse of what time it is this makes no diffrence since i wait every time i Q no matter what time it is in the day for at least 40mins to over an hour

and this only started since there last update/maint

If I'm correct, the level 32 dungeon is Brayflox's Longstop, which is a dungeon that most people avoid like the plague. Having all servers in the duty finder pool isn't going to improve waiting time much.

I think Square Enix will need to adjust the dungeon a little in order for more people to sign up for it as a tank, because that's where the problem lies.

Off peak queues are always going to be longer. They have also increased the number of worlds massively, so going back to single group per data centre would be even less of a good idea now.

But perhaps they could have a more dynamic server grouping system based on current load (could be tricky doing the transition to different server groupings whilst people are already queued though, but I'm sure technically possible), or split the matching servers to have large group duty finder servers for the less common dungeons, but smaller groupings for the popular ones (e.g. AK where even with a pre-made you are going to have a wait most evenings).

Didn't know people avoided that dungeon.. Really good gear comes from it. The best pretty much from 32 and into your 40's..

If you are having wait times no matter what time you queue, then it's a problem on the availability of tanks, and adding more worlds won't fix the problem as you'll be adding even more healers and dps in a disproportionate number to tanks. This is not something SE can solve, it's a player based problem people don't want to play tanks they want to play everything else.

I posted a suggestion the other day for folks to get Duty Finder groups easier/faster.
Make sure you have all languages selected in the Duty Finder window. "JEDF". Especially if you're playing on a server that is non-standard to the language you typically speak. Like me, for instance. I am english-only, but I play on the JP servers. Unfortunately, most of the other players in that server group are JP-only, so they only have JP selected as their language. This makes a huge difference, as Duty Finder will only match people based on the language(s) they have selected.

To avoid grief from other players, be sure to only use this in duties that you are already very familiar with, so the language barrier doesn't prevent you from knowing what you need to do for all the fights.

Be sure to notify your party members with Auto-Translate what language you speak, and keep Google Translate handy to translate any complicated phrases not covered by Auto-Translate.

You'll find this method will GREATLY cut down your wait times. As DPS, I went from waiting 2-3 hours most of the time for HM Primals, to 30 minutes at the most, all the time.
