Brayflox Cavalry Set

I've run it about 5 times so far, and now I just need the Infantry Belt and Subligar for my Monk to complete the set. Do the rings count? I got the Pug Ring too, wasn't sure.

I'm about to start running it on my White Mage pretty soon, hoping for my luck here to follow suit.

not sure if you still need any 'advise' re cavalry set. but.

it gets replaced in cutter's cry (if you can get them to drop....) but theybare very very rare. then, aetherial mythril set which could be found in stone vigil, but drop rate isn't the best. i have ran SV around 10 times and i only have the helmet and pants. considering im 44, i might gonstraight for af. so it does last you a long time.

greens stats are roughly equal to whites stats 10 level above
so you may replace them 10 level after or any other higher leveled greens

It took me 18 runs to get the full Battlemage set and an ACN Ring from the Courl boss. I considered myself lucky.

I kept my cavalry and infantry set intact up to Stone Vigil. The Aetherial equipment there is an upgrade (and needed) if you try the level 44 dungeon or Garuda without getting the first pieces of your AF gear.

It's a shame that this set is one of the best-looking tank sets in the game. The higher-level "heavy" sets are garbage (cans).

On the subject of Brayflox items, does the mage set have a lower drop rate or something? I've only ever seen the Cavalry and Infantry items appear every time I've been there.

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I've asked around about drop rates, and the consensus I've gained is that "It's all about luck." Here is a list I've found which shows which category pieces are dropped by each boss:

Ziz Boss (1st) - Pink 32 Weapon
Goblin Town - Pink 32 Armor
Drake Boss (2nd) - Set Feet & Waist
Hellbender Boss (3rd) - Set Hands & Head
Coeurl Miniboss (4th) - Class Ring
Dragon Boss (5th) - Set Legs & Body

I can vouch for the accuracy of the above. Again, as far as I've been told, the drop rate is random.

Meaning of course that on each boss that drops a green, you "should" have a 1 in 3 chance of seeing mage's gear.
