If you get a raise, that means you died and deserve to stay dead. I don't think it's unreasonable that you should have to be clever about receiving this second lease on life.
Wile dying is probably 90% certain that the player made a mistake you shouldn't punish the party by keeping them dead for the entire fight. The issue like a lot of people pointed out is that while being raised the player nor the healer can do anything to help the raised player. Random target abilities from bosses is a classic example of e game working against itself. If a healer can't target a player neither should the enemy or its abilities.
If a player that died has to stay dead, tell me, why do WHMs have the ability to raise in battle?
Yes, I died in the Titan fight, I made one mistake but died 3 times for it. That hardly seems like raise is working as intended.
To be fair, if you died 3 times, you made 3 mistakes. There are safe times to get up during Titan, obviously you didn't get up during them.
I disagree. I died once and couldn't raise due to poor design. Aren't you glad the devs seem to agree with me? After all you can't fix a problem that doesn't exist.
I didn't say you have to stay dead. I said you deserve to stay dead. A WHM can raise in combat, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't need to be strategic about how and when you use that ability. Period.
