This a thousand times over. It's not always the healers fault someone dies. Sometimes a tank makes a bad pull or doesn't hold aggro well which causes deaths, or a DD misses an interrupt. Regardless, like Keith said, if you can take damage, you should be able to take healing. It's bad enough the animation locks you in place for nearly 6-7 seconds plus weakness. Maybe I've done too much Titan lol.

Yes. Allow us to heal them after they get raised! So many times by habit I try to heal someone I raised and end up wasting it on myself.


This is sooooo annoying, both as a healer and non-healer.

If said player isn't able to be cured, or move. they shouldn't be able to receive DMG. it's almost pointless trying to raise people half the time.
What's more frustrating is when you use the Lv3 Healer LB. only for half of everyone you just got back to life, to hit the ground again.

Agreed, I know how annoying that is from the raisee's PoV. Too often do I accept that raise or rez after some explosion only to die in another explosion as I am floating. I'm lookin' at you Ifrit, Garuda, and soon enough Titan!
Thankyou for the replies. As so many rightly pointed out to the person ZOMG BAD HEALAHing me.. the point was about the animation lock not about my ability to keep people up, positioning or the raisee's accepting of the raise. My point was that these people stuck in animation lock can take damage but cannot be healed.
When someone dies it's not always the healers fault as many people may think, someone standing in a nasty aoe or pulling too much hate are two examples.. I'd like to know that if shit does hit the fan and someone does drop, that I can get them up without a hitch.
I'd rather they just tack a shield onto the player being raised for the next 5s - animation lock (2s after you land) needs to be reduced/removed. Area of effect attacks can happen right in the middle of someone getting back up making the whole process entirely futile which is frustrating.

I completely agree with the OP. All of you guys saying "Learn to not die, it's user-error if someone dies, raise isn't a get out of jail free card" are completely mistaken.
The FACT is that there are indeed fights where raise is pretty much useless because there is no right positioning in the world that will make it have time for animation + landing on ground + 2 second delay before you can get a heal off on that person.
It is beyond retarded and the white knights actually defending this with "LTP" bullshit need to wake up and realize it's a design flaw.
