If by bloodthirst you mean life surge then it doesn't heal you and doesn't cause a critical hit, the buff remains on you until your next ability after the limit break.

blood for blood, don't affect it.
as drg the buff is +30% it will be insane as increase of damage on it. well equiped a lb3 melee is around 13-15k.

My own testing leads me to believe, as some others have said, that weapon damage affects the amount of damage Limit Break does the most.
However, damage increasing buffs (at least those used by Dragoon--that I know of) do not affect the amount of damage you dish out with limit break. Life surge doesn't heal you. LB does not crit, either. It's flat damage.
Also, I seem to do up to about 12-13k damage on LB2 with a Gae Bolg +1. I have not bothered to check LB3 (since probably the only fight you ever use it is on Garuda--maybe). I'm sure it would probably about double the damage output, if I did LB3.
Hope this helps. ^^

Something is definitely up with buffs on LB. I do A LOT of Garuda HM's. I love the fight, what can I say? Anyways, as a dragoon I am typically the LB guy on adds. Sometimes my LB2 completely obliterates an add from full to next-to-nothing, sometimes it does only about half. Only thing I can think of is my buffs I pop just before.

It does affect them so go get yourself hi potions of whatever to boost that dmg, thats what they are for.

Seeing all of these replies... Now you understand my predicament, lol. It's still a "he said, she said" situation.
Wait. Why don't we just get SE to answer this directly? I wonder why I didn't think of that sooner.

Damn it, now I have to test it. I always used Lifesurge on my LNC back in phase 3 right before a Limit Break but I can't remember if it does crit the LB and absorb some of the damage as HP or not, definitely going to put some time into this, my interest is piqued.

I remember doing about 7800-8000 damage on the nails in the Ifrit fight with Garuda staff + various AK/DL gear. I'll run an Ifrit tonight and see how much it varies now that I have my Relic+1.

Edited the thread title in hopes a dev will see it and reply themselves so we can know once and for all.
EDIT: Boooooooo... It only changed the title for the first post, lol. Well, someone try and notify a dev to get in here and answer this question, please. Thanks ;w;
