Yeah, I'm loving how all the self-proclaimed 'hardcores' refuse to do the 'hardcore' content because it's too 'hardcore'. lol.
But that said, I think tomes were a bad design choice and they should've made them drops from the dungeons(or at least both). I feel like tomes/tokens are something you do once the content is irrelevant to catch people up, not to slow people down.
Hint coil is fun! oh if you completed the main story its sort of mini storie that keep continuing.
there is stuff to complete and more will come maybe to much free time?
content sure is boring with pay to win you should go to rift they have plenty of that.
End game just feels awkward right now. I wish there was more structure gear layering along the lines off:
Finish level 50 storyline at CM. No tomes reward.
Introduced to the first 8man Raid in Praetorium - drop iLvL60 Loot - put on Duty Finder - Reward Tomes
3 Dungeons (Wanderer's Palace @ 100, New Instance @ 100 and AK @ 100) that reward tomes to buy iLvL 70 gear.
Primal Hard Modes for iLvL 60, 65 + 70 Weapons.
Crystal Tower - 8man raid - iLvL 75 loot
Crystal Tower - 24man raid - iLvL 80 loot
Bahamuts Coil - 8man - iLvL 85 loot
Bahamuts Coil - 24man - iLvL 90 loot
Relic Quest for iLvL 90 Weapon (possibly finishing in Bahamut's Coil)
Doesn't seem too drastic and would easily provide more content.
I think this would be good. Also at the same time add some actual crafted gear to compete. Right now crafting is pointless gear wise since everything gets handed to you. End game consists of the DF lottery or trying to get groups together on your server to get stuff done. Personally if DF was better the game would be a lot better as a whole. But since the Dev team decided that 1-49 should be a cakewalk and 50 is where you actually learn game mechanics such as moving out of AOE and positioning it kinda screws everything else up.
Its a face though, if you dont enjoy crafting and want to stick with your main class, there is alot of limited content, even if they made wander's palace alittle hard and give same tombstones as AK i'd be able to rotate between them.
Another "End game complaining", or "I'm not getting what I want" thread... Yeeeaaaaah.
And yea, i'd be one of those guys that bought a decent party for his titan run, because honestly it is a lot quicker for me to farm/craft 700k than play the duty finder lottery for days and hope no one in the party sucks, one or two players who suck especially if they are a tank or healer then the whole party fails because of them, not my idea of fun really.![]()
What is SE supposed to do, spend all their development resources before launch on endgame to satisfy people who rush to 50 in a week? Or develop the 1-50 content and add more endgame content later? Seems like a no-brainer.
Modern MMO gamers are spoiled, they assume that SE has the resources to launch a fully fleshed out and polished endgame experience two weeks after launch and if their expectation isn't met then they whine about being bored.
Wow "Endgame" at launch:
*Faceroll UBRS/Scholo/Stath in ten mans for a week to get blue set (sans any sort of DF which would have made it go even faster)
*Ony and Moltern Core
*Tauren Mill World PvP
GW2 Endgame at launch:
*What endgame?
Pretty slim pickings.
Nov 04 - Wow launched
Dec 04 - New mid-level dungeon: Mara
March 05 - New level 56-60 dungeon: Dire Maul (4+ months)
May 05 - Honor System (6+ months)
June 05 - BGs: Warsong Gulch and AV (7+ months)
July 05 - New Raid: Blackwing Lair (8+ months)
Bottom line: Developing new content takes time and money both of which are finite and developers have to prioritize.
gw2 engame=world vs world, pvp, farming token on dungeons, farming karma points for armor and stuff on events, complete maps ,puzzles for rewards, farming items for legendary gear and mostly try all builds on your class with stats and traits, you can be a guardian with dps spec burst or dot, or support other party member with buffs and heal all viable, you cna say easily i don't like gw2 but i wish ff14 had all this stuff on launch and i hope will be better later on but rite now need to grow!
