What is SE supposed to do, spend all their development resources before launch on endgame to satisfy people who rush to 50 in a week? Or develop the 1-50 content and add more endgame content later? Seems like a no-brainer.

Modern MMO gamers are spoiled, they assume that SE has the resources to launch a fully fleshed out and polished endgame experience two weeks after launch and if their expectation isn't met then they whine about being bored.

Wow "Endgame" at launch:

*Faceroll UBRS/Scholo/Stath in ten mans for a week to get blue set (sans any sort of DF which would have made it go even faster)
*Ony and Moltern Core
*Tauren Mill World PvP

GW2 Endgame at launch:
*What endgame?

Pretty slim pickings.

Nov 04 - Wow launched
Dec 04 - New mid-level dungeon: Mara
March 05 - New level 56-60 dungeon: Dire Maul (4+ months)
May 05 - Honor System (6+ months)
June 05 - BGs: Warsong Gulch and AV (7+ months)
July 05 - New Raid: Blackwing Lair (8+ months)

Bottom line: Developing new content takes time and money both of which are finite and developers have to prioritize.
