    I dislike many people having the mentality that they have to rush through the content and compete with others for having slightly shinier gear than the rest. The crucial thing for an MMO for me is that it provides options for you to choose your role in the world (beyond just stat bonuses on your gear).

    Exhausting yourself with the endgame grind is your own fault, but it's also a design flaw with FFXIV ARR at the moment. It seems like there's very little other stuff to do with a max level character at the moment. Especially in this case my suggestion would be that people should relax and enjoy the journey a bit more instead of rushing to the endgame. I really hope there'll be other systems, content and long-term gameplay goals in the future in addition to endgame raids though. That's sort of a niche attraction even if you'd provide a fast path to max level.

    I'm currently in a fate/mine grinding group in Northern Thanalan.

    I tab in, Holy/Shroud of Saints til I'm dry, tab back here.

    Yeah, sorry guys, but the two instances, Coil, and HMs are the only content the game has. The group doesn't notice when I tab out because they're too busy spamming their one-buttons too.

    Most/maybe even no MMO has very good end-game at launch. If your in it for the end-game, I advise those people to wait a year a come back. By then you should see end-game in much variety.

    Edit: ( This is one of the reasons why I don't take 1 class to max at launch, because 9 times out of 10 end-game won't be there), if it's an MMO that normally only allow 1 character 1 class at launch I do other things like gathering/profession. Go straight to 50 at launch is not such a good thing.

    I'll start off saying I did the majority of my leveling in 1.0. Every job/class/tradeskill is capped, Working on 2nd relic. Have all the AK armor sets and DL/AF2 on my main class, while working on the 2nd DL set, all storyline/job quests complete. I don't even consider myself in the hardcore group as I don't get to play the huge hours every day that I wish I could. I agree with some of those saying that the content isn't very open currently.

    That being said, if I recall correctly the Crystal Tower was slated for release, but balancing issues caused it to be withheld. That would have add a very fun alternative than we have now. As it stands, it was pushed to 2.1 and we will all be the better for it. It wasn't designed to be this limited, it just happened. I personally believe it will get better, with time.

    I do also agree with those saying that all/most MMO's have the end game/gear loops attached to them. One of the most promising things I do see however is that there is still content that has NOT been cleared by even the hardest of the hardcore. You can't say you have beat the game if you haven't beated the biggest most bad as*ed of the bosses out there.

    Im on the 4th page so no one will see this.

    But I find the game fun. Regardless of the fact that it may be a visualized chat room with simple game mechanics, or whatever you've boiled it down to in your jaded and bitter view, which is a product of burning out after pushing through content with no enjoyment of the process.

    I spent a lot of time running Brayflox for my BAttlemage gear. I was around lvl 47 when I finally got it. I also had most Infantry and Calvary by the end. I enjoyed every minute of it. And I will enjoy it again on Archer as I level that and hopefully complete those two sets, even though my pally has all AF.

    I enjoy the game, thats why I play.

    But I am sorry to hear you are not enjoying it. I am sure that YoshiP has lots of interesting content otw. And I expect surprises. As ARR was surprisingly a great game even though they explicitly made it a WoW like game.

    The OP said he bought his Titan win. This was just a suggestion for an alternative way to beat that content, and a different use for that gil.

    Or you could challenge yourself to keep reasonably geared for current level, by getting gear drops from dungeons then topping off with hunting log and FATEs only when required to get to the next dungeon for the next gear set. I agree they could boost dungeon XP, because many people seem to only see the fastest route, and ignore the scenic ones. Although, I haven't actually seen any hard figures on what is possible for a pre-made party of geared and similar level players doing dungeons vs FATEs.

    Yes, it is a terrible end game and it will not change at all. This is what we will see for the projected vision of the game. We will never see any more dungeons or patches beyond what we have now. What stupid lazy devs...

    There's a life lesson to be learned here. Focusing only on yourself and on your efficiency results in nothing but being bored alone. This is true in every MMO, and it's true in most (not all, but most) of the real world.

    What good 'efficiency' when the cost of it is nothing to do?
