I only want to touch on one point: This game was designed from ground up (even in 1.0) to revolve around having multiple jobs, despite how other games may be.I love threads like these, and how people will come in and act like these aren't issues.
I mean, most things are open to opinion but, even for a "fresh game", this small amount of endgame content is not acceptable, simply because MMO Developers know that a great deal of players will focus on one job (most mmo's only allow you to do one job per character anyway) and rush that to endgame.
As long as there are people willing to defend a bad design, corporate people who don't actually understand what games a game fun, and are merely trying to make the most profitable version of WoW that they can, will be less likely to see the problems.
Yep, and once those are done, your two subs, you don't need to actually level another job, and what's the point if you do? So you can do the same endgame from in a different cockpit?
I would say so your group can adapt party make-up based on the specific challenges presented and also cover gaps for absent members who would normally fill a certain role.
If you had a static group of 8 people working through a multipart dungeon, it might be that some stages really need an off tank, whilst others are better filling that spot with a DPS. If everyone only has one job levelled and geared, then you are going to be stuck with a particular party configuration, or switching members out for certain sections.
