    And I love how most people say "WoW got it right at start" I remember molten core the first real raid dungeon to be unplayable for several month because of lag and server outage. So here you can at least play coil if you want to.

    *edit* Don't get me wrong I'm not saying well it's okay because no other mmo did have enough endgame content at the start of its lifespan. I'd love if mmos would have as much endgame content as the "hardcore" people could want but in that case the developement time would take so much longer and not all companys can take this financial risk. Now given Square's track record with FFXI I'm not at all worried that alot of interesting stuff will be added to this game.

    Depends how you define end-game. But I'd argue any game with semi-decent PvP has had more endgame.

    As for others: GW2, Secret world, Aion, as far as I'm concerned they all had more endgame than FFIV. And that's only few of the recent ones. So idk what the hell you remember.

    Oh and my definition of endgame is: There's so much stuff to do, that I want to keep playing (and I play 5 hrs daily, more on weekends)..or hell, even if there's only 1 thing to do, if it's fun I can do it a lot. In FF...I do AK, bored. Levelling alts with fates...god no. Soulsucking gathering while watching teleporting bots...gtfo. Primals...Ifrit easy mode, Garuda pointless, Titan even more pointless after u get relic. Coil...stupid lock system (we have 3 tanks, 5 healers, X DPS in the guild...go make 8 man parties with that yo, specially with ppl quitting daily). Crafting...bah + to be really efficient at it, u need to level multiple crafts (oh joy).

    I feel PvP in this game is going to be lackluster at best and I'll probably only do it for the vanity skins.

    It'll be something like

    Cast Skill > run around for 1.5 seconds > repeat.

    Or even worse everyone will be a WHM or BLM and be putting everyone forever to sleep. Z_Z

    The thing that bothers me about "end game" in this game is thus: What is the point in getting the gear? What purpose does it serve? Is it really worthwhile? Does it help you at all with missions/quests etc.?

    Mind you I only scratched the surface before my subscription ran out because I took my time and I was only trying to finish the main story before i take a break and wait for the issues to be addressed (world transfer & lag/errors mostly for me).

    I will give you my opinions of what you think

    An MMORPG that is focused on being able to play on multiclass / job.
    - No way, i hate playing a second class

    An MMORPG that is actually fun doing tradeskill stuff, with all the action etc which determines outcome, instead of mashing the same few buttons
    - No way, I don't want to do Tradeskill

    An MMORPG that provide challenging contents that requires good teamwork
    - Nah, i hate grouping with people i don't know. I will just pay for Titan

    An MMORPG that requires you to repeatedly farm contents for gear
    - Nah, I hate farming, it's boring and repetitive.

    In short, I am seriously doubting MMORPG is your type of game

    First time you might hit a brick wall, you pay for a short cut (Titan), and you don't seem to want to spend the time in actually enjoying it, but complain about it.

    You know, you don't have to paid to do something in your life you hate doing. The things you hate doing are usually things you get paid for...

    Aion 1.5 had Dark Poeta(gear farm), Forts (lagfest) and the relic-instances (AP-relic farm) and Dredgion(AP farm) that was end game in 1.5. Back then people were complaining about the exact same thing we're complaining about now.

    The MMO crowd is hard to please.

    9)Since we know nothing about this, +2 your weapon might require boss drop + more myth, but still isn't endgame content
    So basically, 2.2 which could be 7-8 months minimum is bringing any new progression content. 50 content should have been the biggest focus redesigning a 2nd iteration of the game.
