SE's FFXIV at E3

E3 is coming soon and as we get closer the less info and communication we see from SE regarding FFXIV. The letters from Yoshi-P lately where minimal, letting us know things are coming but no details at all of what is coming.

Clearly SE will have some stuff to announce in regards to FFXIV at this year's E3. But could it be a lot more then the PS3 release? Will SE be dropping a bomb that will save FFXIV?

Letters from the Producer happen on a set schedule and so far hes not really missed a day for them.
Also they havent' had much to update in them because all of the updates they've talked about were culminate in the next two updates and after they are done all the other back burner things can start full steam development again.

Also he stated the next letter will include a fully updated Charge of planned Changes.

What makes you say that? Unless the game is on their roster of things to show at the upcoming E3 I highly doubt FFXIV will make any sort of presence there. IF XIV shows, Yoshi-P is going to have to be doing A LOT of convincing that the game is now ready to be played (and paid for). Considering how close we are to E3 and the current state of the game I just don't think he'll have much to go on to try and convince people that its ready. Who knows, maybe they have something planned, and I would love for it to be true, but I just don't see it.

Short of the delay of Golden Week they have been pretty informative on what is going in with the game. Short of daily nay hourly updates I imagine many of you will not be satisfied. As for E3 I expect a minimal presence of FF14 at their booth as the game should be in better shape to talk about by the time TGS rolls around.

Don't hold your breath. I doubt there shall be anything FFXIV at E3 - it'll be more Deus Ex and Hitman. You might be in for a shout at Tokyo Game Show, I think SE will be more comfortable approaching any relaunch from the East rather than from the West - so to speak. Start where your fan base is biggest.

I don't think FFXIV will be shown at E3 and I don't think we will hear any thing about the PS3 version for a long time.

Still it is unthinkable that they are not keep some infos under wrap for this year's E3. Sure it is nice to lets us know what is going on with the game as we are the ones playing it but E3 is the best place to let the whole gaming industry know about the game's rebirth. The critics destroyed this game when it was release and it is well understandable for the game we were given.

Now with Yoshi-P in charge and all the new changes coming soon, E3 will be the perfect place for SE to let everyone else that turned their back on the game that they have learned from their mistakes and that the game will deserve a 2nd chance.

Showing XIV at E3 only make them facepalm

E3 is happening before patch 1.18 goes live (if mid-june is still the predicted time) so unless they have kept some huge details to one side, I doubt XIV will be at E3.
