I love it when people give me hints about my job.

Sometimes they've watched a specific situation and I already knew what they're telling me, so I just explain why I did what they observed. We may have different takes and find some interesting mid-ground.
Sometimes it's a new perspective I hadn't considered, or hadn't tested yet.
Sometimes it simply helps me getting better.
There isn't one "method" that fits all content, I don't play the same when in CM than when in Coil.
Complementary teamplay also means one's classic methodology may vary from a party to another.

And I just like discussing theorycrafting and testing stuff, I guess.

I don't see why it's bad that others tell me how to play my job. I can only see how it could make me better (at best) or simply be useless (at worst). Now, insults and trolling, that's a different thing, but then I just ignore those to the extent of my patience.

Not really true. Assuming you are keeping your DOTs up, Energy Drain can be great for some Burst damage.

Raging Strikes > Fester > Ruin II > Energy Drain > Ruin II > Energy Drain > Ruin II -- you can take some stuff down pretty quick with that combo because Energy Drain isn't on the GCD and has a quick recast.

Uhm, I don't mean to be rude but Ruin II + Energy is a SCHOLAR damage rotation. Summoner has such better rotation toolkits with Fester being just an absolute nuke if used properly.

Basically, both players were wrong....but seriously, it's worrisome that a level 50 Summoner doesn't even know how his/her own class works.

Confused about what the OP is trying to get across here. This is not a single player game. If you are playing your class incorrectly, like the OP, then you are negatively affecting those players experience. The classes weren't designed for a play it your way playstyle. Almost every MMO is designed so each class has an optimal rotation that when engaged in group play should be executed as well as possible.

Basically the OP needs to learn how to accept criticism and play their character.

Guys I think you all overreacting and for summoners it better to use ruin 1 over ruin two according to mr happy in his youtube videos but anyways I wont be surprise if alot of classes get nerf because they are doing alot more dps or not enough and probably to help the tanks to get more agroo because of the dps classes and healers stealing agroo not intentional just either there fairies or pets are taking agroo away from the tanks.I seen partys where arcanist will use there yellow pet in party instead of there dps pet and in parties in dungeons you always use your dps pet not tank..

Well at least she didn't take over your job. I had someone that kept doing that. (Im cnj/whm) so the person (thm/blm) wasn't doing anything but sleep and heal.... every time I heal, he heals and it just screws us over because who else is going to dps? Me? I don't think so.

Thing is for your situation, I don't really care what is better combo for dps, lalala...... as long as no one die, tank knows how to tank, and we get the job done I'm happy. You go do your own thing if it works. If everyone keeps dying then you switch it up and figure out what the problem is. Like is it you, the other dps, healer, tank, what? Communicate. Don't full on rag and yell to come off as an ass.

But sadly, most people don't even use the chat feature to talk. They just expect us to do what evers right off the bat.

This is my favorite. When you ask afterwards, they are like, "Well, it didn't look like you were healing them." Thank you, I know how to heal. I want to avoid overhealing. Also, the people that feel the need to use protect, especially when you are playing as a CNJ/WHM... My protect is better than yours, please stop overwriting mine.

wow you guys rather complain and not see what i said you all overreacting guys get this through your heads there will be class and jobs nerfs coming I am guessing sq enix is working behind the scenes to see who pulling agroo and who stealing agroo and who doing more dps than they should or aren't doing enough dps.
