Am I hallucinating or did I just lose gil?

So to preface this I'm drunk. I'm used to blowing tons of gil on shards or random items when I'm drunk but this is something completely different.

I had somewhere around 1.45 million when I decided to queue for a dungeon before going to bed. I remember this number specifically because I regretted dumping 2 million into lvl 70 items which soon after became flooded. So I run the dungeon and everything is fine.


When I get out I check my retainers and one has just over 110k for me to retrieve. I accept the gil as usual and glance at my total only to see i'm down to 1.3 million and change. At this point I figure it was some terrible coding error subtracting 110k instead of adding it. After all I have been lagging like a mother all day. But then as I'm bitching about the lost gil to my FC I notice my gil has dropped down to 1.2 million and change. WHAT THE FUCK!?


My only guess is that they decided to remove ALL illicit gil from the game and felt no need to tell anyone. I might be drunk but i'm not nearly drunk enough to spend 300k without remembering it. The first 200k I can just write off as a bad coding problem but the last 100k I can't even begin to comprehend.




I never touched the auction house after doing the dungeon and the only action I initiated was talking to my retainer. I didn't even hit another ability, not even sprint because I switched to leatherworker immediately.










If i'm just losing my mind please tell me so I can schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist. If not, wat?

cant you store gil on your retainers? check that you didnt deposit some.

This... Check that you didn't accidentally deposit gil instead of withdraw it.

Yeah that's the problem with gils now days... I swear that I wasn't this broke either about a week ago but what can you do...

Pretty messed up if they didn't notify you though. If they're ganna take away stuff they should totally notify you first and reasons why.

Zoned twice within Ul'dah and noticed I only had 198,995 gil. My inquiry to SE went nowhere as it didn't garner a response.

Um..you know that selling Allagin money on the Market is used exclusively for RMT Money Laundering right?...It has no other value than to sell to vendor for a specific amount. The reason your money is gone is because it was obtained illegally(from RMTs). Lol
