How far will full Brayflox set carry me?

I just atempted my first SV run, used the DF as all FC were engaged.

It was a nightmare. Constantly lost aggro. I've never had this issue before.

I asked the team to be mindful, for the DPS to not get too eager and the healer to not overheal, but they all turned on me and called me undergeared and awful.

My current set of gear is full cavalry, and the rest is the best I could find on the market or crafted by FC mates. I've not seen anything yet that beats it.

I this gear good enough for BF?

the only thing I can think of is that I'm badly undergeared or the team just didn't know what they were doing. My rotations were solid, I was timing everything perfectly, but I just couldn't hold group aggro like I've been able to so far in every instance.

Please let me know if I'm missing something obvious.

    Cheers!

Yes and no to be honest after Brayflox Gear checks become almost steady to as quickly as dungeons come up atleast thats how it seemed on my warrior. I used my money for the Level 40 mithril set HQed version for even better defense. Once i got that i had no problems at all staying alive and keeping aggro. Also allowed me to get teh full aetheric Mythril set when i was in there too lol

if your problem is enmity then it might be your weapon not armor, or maybe your rotation and since you are a paladin i suggest you not to aoe the trash, just mark 1 and burn

Cavalier will take you through Qarn. You should replace it come Cutters Cry (HQ Horn Scale + Boarskin Breeches + Mythril Elmo is the going set, with Kokoroon's replacing chest if you get the drop in CC) though you can survive with Cavalier if you and your team are sufficiently skilled. By Stone Vigil, you're 10 levels behind and really cannot accept ilvl34 items -- dungeon drops are basically just HQ versions of gear with ilvl+2 (e.g. Kokoroon's Darkshell Mail is level 38 requirement, ilvl40, identical defense to HQ/Aetherial Mythril Cuirass). If you're doing Stone Vigil, you will need at least full HQ/aetherial Mythril armor or Horn Scale. Any ARM in the storm can easily produce 100% HQ Horn Scale or Mythril armor for you on the cheap.

//EDIT: Also, if you can't keep aggro, get your level 42 GC weapon. Aggro problem will be solved in a hurry.

We still need to drop Flash and work our Enimty's through Mobs, mainly because Healers generate threat on all mobs, and because you get the occasional derp that likes to AoE high hp mobs.

@Zakawal3: It's your weapon. At 42, you can chose between your GC Weapon: 30 Dmg + Bonus if you're wearing other GC gear, or you can get a HQ Goblin Scimitar off the market: 32 Damage +Parry. That can last you until 50, but I suggest upgrading your weapon again at 47ish specifically for Templar's Falchion, which drops at Aurum Vale iirc. That will help you progress to i52/55 Gear, while being able to Hate.
