    Help a new EU player (gmt+1) pick a server.

    Hello guyz, so I've only just begun my experience with FF XIV, and I've been browsing through the servers and i don't know which one should I pick to have people to play with.

    Basically I've been thinking of
    Lindblum or Cordelia(since I heard from some long-forgotten old posts that those are the unofficial EU servers)
    Besaid (because of a lot of dated posts from EU players)
    but they both ain't exactly the highest populated ones.
    I noticed (because I'm fixated on picking Gridania as my begginer zone) that Rabanastre had the most populated Gridania zone all the servers I've been on so far.
    And I was also thinking of Gysahl since it's one of the highest populated servers and it has the best name of those.
    Any suggestions? They would be highly appreciated.

    I'm on Besaid and it has a lot active during EU daytime, Though most of them are Japanese you can find LS's with peeps in them, just be ready to accept a lot of roleplaying and if you pick miqote you'll get hit on all the time

    If you're a serious player (as in the sense of you won't be quiting in a week) come to Fabul. We're an EU LS that has been around since beta doing NMs and the such. The leadership (myself included) is GMT based with lots of GMT/EU/Na players.

    Well, one argument for Besaid is that it has lotsa Japanese people and I love Asians, despite the variety of English proficiency they come in.
    But the LS Vackashken pointed made such a good case on their website I'm really torn between those 2 servers.

    Besaid is one of the most popular servers - it's also an "unofficial RP server," so word of warning - if you don't like that kind of thing Besaid may not be the server fo you. Wherever you choose I hope you enjoy the game. ^^b
