Help a new EU player (gmt+1) pick a server.

Hello guyz, so I've only just begun my experience with FF XIV, and I've been browsing through the servers and i don't know which one should I pick to have people to play with.

Basically I've been thinking of
Lindblum or Cordelia(since I heard from some long-forgotten old posts that those are the unofficial EU servers)
Besaid (because of a lot of dated posts from EU players)
but they both ain't exactly the highest populated ones.
I noticed (because I'm fixated on picking Gridania as my begginer zone) that Rabanastre had the most populated Gridania zone all the servers I've been on so far.
And I was also thinking of Gysahl since it's one of the highest populated servers and it has the best name of those.
Any suggestions? They would be highly appreciated.

I'm on Besaid and it has a lot active during EU daytime, Though most of them are Japanese you can find LS's with peeps in them, just be ready to accept a lot of roleplaying and if you pick miqote you'll get hit on all the time

If you're a serious player (as in the sense of you won't be quiting in a week) come to Fabul. We're an EU LS that has been around since beta doing NMs and the such. The leadership (myself included) is GMT based with lots of GMT/EU/Na players.

You should both come to Fabul - we've had a few people switch servers (when they were in their 30s) to be with other EU people. Everyone seems happy with their choice. If there are any questions I can field feel free to ask. You can even post in our public forums (on the CS site) to ask there and keep this clean if you wish.

Actually, I might have a question (or two ^^):
1. How much of a newbie can your LS member be? I'm pretty new to the game, I'm just learning the ropes.
2. How casual can a member be? I can play for 4 days constantly and then not play for like 3 due to classes, RL stuff, exams and so on.
3. I understand your LS rules, it's just I'm really bad with forums. I talk a lot in game because I play MMORPGs mainly for the MMO part (and RPG too, it's just up till FFXIV I enjoyed one player RPGs (mainly on consoles) more for the gameplay + story department, but MMORPGs for parties and the social element) so I am quite communicative in-game, it's just that off-game stuff that I'm bad in. So I keep forgetting, despite my best efforts, about posting on forums and so on. I think there's a question in here somewhere o.O
