Costumes over armor?

Heard that they are making costumes to go over your gear so you wont have to switch out is this true and when?

Most likely patch 2.2 they already confirmed it won't make it in time for 2.1

To clarify what they are adding is essentially the ability to wear armor A for its stats while looking like armor B's appearance.

What I would love for Vanity is another Tab on the Character page, where you can equip any gear from your Armoury Chest to gain its appearance (and if they decide to allow some stats, those too). This would be for all the non-jewelry (and non-belt) pieces of course...

Imagine rolling up to Titan with your starter race apparel on over your armor and going 'was'sup hommie'?

Major Patches (2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, etc) are planned at 1 per every 3 Months.

2.1 is November (Also of Note: Lightning Returns XIII FATE starts November 14)
2.2 is February (Also of Note: PlayStation 4 Beta Test starts February 22)
2.3 is May (estimated)
2.4 is August (estimated)

When a full expansion comes out they will jump straight to 3.0.

I can understand no belts as those aren't visual.

But all accessories have visuals and should be included in the vanity system.

Ideally it would affect all slots that change your cosmetic appearance. However if they want to release an early draft that just covers head, chest, hands, legs, and feet then add the rest later I'm all for it. Rather have a solid incomplete version now they can fill in later than wait until next year for anything at all so it can be "perfect" from release.
