Friend Banned on Forums for no good Reason

A friend of mine made of post about features in the game he would like to see fixed and implemented and was kick out of forums with post removed. I'v read what he posted and read the reply's he was getting and nothing was bad. I went to go check it and the post was gone then he told me he was banned from forums. Anyone else have an issue like this?

It appears that SE is being pretty heavy handed with bans lately.

If it was a clear and respectful post it should have stayed.

He should have gotten an email with a copy of the post and which sections of the agreement that he broke (if he did break any that is).

I got banned for saying "I'm tired of the 'you're a winner, even if you're a l*ser' mentality in games these days".

Heck, I might even get banned for mentioning it. Edited the L word for good measure.

In all seriousness, it does seem to be happening a lot lately, one would think there would be an explanation but then tbh communication doesn't seem to be a strong skill around here does it?

You only get banned if someone reported it. People get away with a lot but some posts be so damn harmless...

Buuutt we can't get all those teleporting bots and what not banned.

I didn't get the email stating why until several days later.

TOS is often ignored by the MMO communities
Being banned from Forums is nothing , being banned form the game is something .........

Square Enix says to read the TOS before posting/ playing of the game , yet I bet everyone just scrolls down and hits accept without even bothering to read one line !

My husband was temporarily banned for saying (heavy substitution here, but you'll get what it was): "No excrement popular literary detective currently played by Benedict Cumberbatch"

When his temp ban was over, he posted a nice, normal post asking for some feedback on something white magey, and was perma-banned.

*shrug*

After a day or two, he decided he didn't care because the forums can be so toxic, it's better if he doesn't visit them. ^^
