Why are there no quests from 46 to 49 ???

guess u didnt leave the exploring closer to end since the exploring exp does scale per lvl for completing the exploring achieves for each zone and anyway theres enough to do to lvl u. if u want to hit 50 fast for example u can easily do a lvl per hr or 2 in northern thanalan just from fates for example dark devices first part u can easily get 100k-150 k+ experience meaning it will end up being 200k+ depending on how many adds u can tag since they do spawn pretty fast.

also another thing about the vesper bay quest givers they spawn in waking sand but around either 47-48 they appear but u wont see them on map til u actually hit that lvl wont even show a ! til then so u need to make sure to go back to do those ones as well.

ONE fate per level, Bestiarium completed for Thauma and Grand Company,
all maps explored and ...STILL:

the exp for next Level NEVER were full, always fate-grinding.

Very strange. I did the exact same thing and managed to get to 48.5 before having to grind fates then more quests unlocked at 49!

Are you SURE you haven't missed some? Apart from doing dungeons more than once (not grinding just running 2-3 times for gear on certain ones.) you've missed something that's for sure.

the only explanation is that i ONLY quested from lvl 1 to 35, so it sums up, i think,

but nevertheless there are less too quests for a mmo with quests, seems for me unfinished, the game

at the very least we aren't grinding mobs one at a time anymore for minimal xp when you could find a party. >.>

With ACN I didn't do all sidequests, but repeated dungeons enough times to get a full set of the level-appropriate green gear (eg Brayflox for Battlemage and Dzemael for Coliseum). I dropped into level-appropriate FATEs when I walked past them. Helped FC members on earlier content like story Primals as needed. Haven't been out of rested XP since before launch. Always use food, even if it's just +3%XP food and nothing else. All hunting logs (GC & ACN). Story quests & class quests. FC Battle XP buff was on intermittently.

I had to spend a few hours doing FATEs in Coerthas, Mor Dhona and Northern Thanalan at 47+, but I didn't really consider that 'grind' - there were enough different FATEs for it to not be repetitive.

Looking forward to levelling up my other classes!

The Citadel south of Stone Vigil in Coerthas has lot of quests for 47+ i'd suggest around there.

I have done about 80% of the side quests available to me as I made my way to level 50, I was on my first level 46 story quest as I dinged level 50. I had maybe 10 to 15 FATEs done total from levels 1 to 50 on my character. Only thing I did to gain some extra experience was run the manor instance about 10 times and rest of the instances about twice each for some gear along the way. Never did any Leve quests or any other extra means of experience gain on my main class.

So how is it that people are getting stuck at around 40 to 45 mark, while others are able to ding 50 with a plethora of quests left over?

Haukke Manor gives a s**t tone of experience. You running it 10 times was overkill, yes. But a large part as to why you were able to cruise to 50 with quests to spare.

Once you hit 47, there are 4 or 5 separate quest lines that start out of the Waking Sands (inside, not vesper bay). They are hard to notice because the quest line drops at 46 and then picks back up at 49 so it makes sense if you left Waking Sands at 46, you would not of seen them. If you are now 47+, return and there should be some more quests for you to do. That said, you can still only do them once so you'll have to go back to grinding if you want to level a 2nd class.

Also, if you have a well coordinated group, you can actually get some pretty good exp from doing an 8 man grind fest on regular mobs that are 4-6 levels higher than you. This works especially well if you have rested bonus and its your 2nd class/job (double exp ftw!)
