WHM in training needing assist in Marcos

Hello

As the title states I am currently wishing to learn how to use Marcos in an effective way. I hate to admit, but I am a complete novice when it comes to it. Known about it for years but its never been a need up until now. If there is some type of tutorial someone could show me or even if someone is on Malboro and wishes to teach me that would be highly appreciated.

I might be bashed for this thread, but I rather ask than be quiet about it.

Wayyyyy to many buttons.

I use the <mo> tag and find it much faster and less bindings.

/ac "Cure" <mo>

<mo> is mouse over. Basically the target becomes whoever is under your mouse cursor. This even works on the party list so you dont have to try and chase the player around the screen with your mouse. Hell you don't even have to be looking at them. You can aim your camera at some secondary thing you have to keep an eye on.

I basically made 3 macros like this. Cure I, Cure II, and Ensuna. Allows me to cure people really fast. Only thing I have to watch for is people who run out of range.

I don't know much about WHM, but I suggest you to check the healer sub-forum. There should be a lot of macros for your class.

Don't even worry about such things. If you don't know better, assume the gender of the character is the gender of the player until corrected. Easier that way.

Any guy who plays a female character but then is upset/annoyed about someone assuming he is a woman, has no one to blame but himself, and deserves to be constantly annoyed.

And any woman who spends any amount of time in forums or video games is generally going to be used to a lot of people assuming she is a guy anyway.

Am I the only one who thinks macros are over complicating matters?

I mean I understand it might be a c hair faster and whatnot, but with the GCD I just don't see the point of wasting time making these and confusing yourself.

Call me old fashioned, but I have never used a macro to heal yet, and I've never had one complaint about my healing to this day. I dunno just seems like a lot of effort and additional slots wasted just to save .1 second off your casts.
