something has happened to lich chats?

i mean it's two days i log in and both shout and yell channels are completely mute, nobody looks for fates, no gold sellers. just silence. i don't believe there isn't people on lich looking for fate groups so my question is.. are the shouts and yells working ?

Had noticed this myself recently but just thought server was dead lately, was wondering the same thing, it was fine when I was on my other account on Odin though :/.

I simply turned off /shout when the spammers started using their text floods in cities and zones close to them.I haven't gone back ever since. I recommend joining a Linkshell instead.

A lot of people have turned shouts down because of RMT spam and don't really care to turn it back on again until a more permanent sollution has been implemented against them.
(SE is working on that.)

I'm pretty sure that when the shout spam is lessened to being no more than a nuisance that vanishes in the first few minutes of appearing shouts will also slowly come back to life.

I must indeed say though, it was very nice to see Limsa Lominsa on Excalibur being quiet too.

On Lich the chat was actually broken so even people who wanted to see it didn't. It's been fixed with the last maintenance though and the spam is back.

Turning it off isn't really an option for crafters since people will ask for crafters in /sh. It's only spammy in the cities anyway, no big deal.
