Tonberry English Speaking Community?

I'm posting here hoping to get some feedback about the English speaking community on Tonberry. My personal situation is that I'll be moving to Asia fairly soon for work and I'd like to continue playing FFXIV. Therefore, I will highly likely make use of the upcoming server transfers to a JP Group server.

From some brief research it appears that Tonberry has an active and healthy English speaking community but I wanted to hear it straight from you all. Is the English speaking community fairly large and active on Tonberry? While I'm more than happy to play with Japanese players, as a native English speaker I feel I'd enjoy this game more with people who speak my own native language. Thanks in advance all.

Many Australians are here, I think it is about half EN and half JP in Tonberry. We got a Linkshell called North Americans if you are interested to join us.

You will have no problems adjust if you transfer here. At times, it feels like there are more English players than Japanese. Mostly it's from the SEA and the Oceanic regions, but there are also NA players. There are also a number of FCs actively recruiting to choose from both for casuals and raiders. You can also use http://oceania.guildwork.com/ for your reference.

That site is pretty dead imo. You'd have better luck on the official forums.

Actually you'll find quite a lot of ppl here speaking english. Tonberry is kinda mixture of SEA/JP ppl togather ,
Australia,Singapore,China,Vietnam,Thailand and on and on... but usually it's english or *Engrish* base communication
so you don't have to worry anything. Just.... don't push the wrong button when doing duty finder or you'll end up with
JP group very soon lolz.

But I heard that when server trans. service starts..... the HUGE WAVE is coming.... that's just a rumor though

Awesome, this is all great news. I can actually speak a fair amount of Japanese so playing with them wouldn't be a problem. However, It'd just be much more comfortable and enjoyable being able to play with English speakers (which looks like I'll be able to do on Tonberry). I'm looking forward to the server change quite a bit. My current server is too crowded and once I make my move to Asia I wouldn't be able to do any end-game content because of the time difference. To sum it up, Oct 15th couldn't come sooner haha

Serving transfers are going to happen very soon, and I hope I'll be able to transfer to Tonberry without issue.

I will be transferring two characters to Tonberry shortly. I had thought about the other so-called ''unofficial'' Australian server Behemoth, but with constant non-stop 90000 errors i am likely to abandon it. I just created a character on Tonberry to test the waters - mostly looking for problems if there are any.

Well, so far, ive been on this server and hour and have not met anyone who speaks english, will respond to my request to join a FC or... well said ANYTHING english or not.

I'm not sure what you're after, but we have one of those massive guilds who love having lots people called Mirai that you might like.
