Heads Up Map Display via Google Glass to assist with Map Navigation.

For those thinking of getting Google Glass, wouldn't it be cool for the devs to create an app that you could use to show one of the in game maps on? I mean yea, it's ok to have on the monitor, but it would free up space. (Yes, another game dev has thought of integrating this into their game, so it could be an issue with copyright)

The existing circular map can't be enlarged any further than it's current size. The FFXI map system had it where if you want to look at full screen map, you click a few keys, it pops up full screen, then you click exit, and it goes away. Sure you can re-size this one, but then you have to re-size it again to get it back to normal. I'm a map user, this is the only think I believe they failed on in this version. Navigation is important to me, anyone else have same or similar opinion

Price of Google Glass vs Mean age group of FFXIV. This is for who would actually be able to buy and use GG for things such as this.
Having Dev's take time off from creating something for in-game FFXIV vs Something that might not be used at all or by small majority.
Create an API so fans can create it vs Devs
Making other Map Options vs Creating a new Map option.

Sure it is a wonderful idea to integrate other modes of interaction but who is it going to help? To give an example of a real good idea, Oculus Rift in EVE Online. That is perfect because of the way the game is built. GG and FFXIV, i dunno personally.

A smaller opaque map that has roads and target locations on it that is similar to Aions would be nice. Being able to futz with the map settings to show what you want on it would be great. The Minimap not being so damn small would be good so i don't have to constantly bring up the map.

I would like an option to turn off the map transparency so that there isn't an extra step when I'm running... I NEVER use it in overlay mode...
