Laziness or Problem? Only shouting rather than using /lfp and player search.

Only spam shouting LFP FATE/Dungeon versus using /lfp, the Player Search tool and correctly entering your Search Information.

I check every day to see if anyone uses these in game, I'm lucky to find between 1-3 people. I would assume it is because people either do not know about it, or they are just lazy. So they can complain about duty finder being slow, or having trouble finding fate parties. But who knows maybe there is an actual problem with it.

Never had this issue back in FFXI.

Anyone know any information on it?

Yeah it's sad.

I guess it all comes down to what people are used to - the "WoW" generation imprinted in millions of players the concept of "chat spamming", back even before a Dungeon Finder mechanic was even designed.

The concept of "flagging" ourself as LFG is kinda foreign to many, unfortunately. I personally find it more elegant and definitely less messy and confusing.

Think it is more due the fact it is tucked away, and outside of specific things a lot of content is solo able. Even in XI shouts for groups happened, just depended on what it was.

So when only things one really needs a group for is fate zerging, or doing dungeons, a good looking for group tool kinda falls by the wayside.

Go to your social tab (O) and I believe the tab is called "search" or "Player search" and you can see who is LFG. To set yourself as LFG, open your Social tab again, select yourself, and right click, and edit looking for group options.

I would say its because people don't know about as I didn't though can't say that's everybody excuse but probably a good amount.

For those that don't know...by memory, Social Menu, Right click your name...edit....should let you alter parameters

I use it to no results. It took me a while to find, its hidden. XI had the most simple, and best search function I have come across. Limited? Yes. Functional? Oh Gosh yes. It would be nice to see it used more, I have better things to do than /plantass in the most slaughtered zone ever.

the search feature in this game is awesome, i dont think its lazyness but rather ignorance,must ppl just dont know it exists.

the efficient way to <>Looking for party<> is to /Sh and use the search

i always use it, but not many ppl flag up for LFP. i end up asking random ppl of my lvl if they are interested.
