Toxic endgame community...

So I hit 50, really enjoyed the story so far.

Read a strategy for Castrum Meridianum (I figure I would try to minimize my burden on the party). The dungeon starts and right away I'm being belittled for watching the cutscene. Its go go go go, rush rush rush rush, while being called every name in the book.

A few people even dropped from the dungeon because I was watching a 30 second cutscene.... Keep in mind this was a duty finder group.

The fights I did manage to not get locked out of I was able to survive the fight no problem.

I've played many MMOs, but this is by far the most toxic endgame community I have ever come across. I'm really in awe how bad it is.. Unfortunately my month re-sub hit today, I really need to think about subbing for another one..

I rather stay away from endgame the first 2-3 months of a new mmo and join in later.

And honestly: Espacially when people run it over and over and over and over... they better take their time, get a beer in between or a coke or whatever while cutscenes are watched by new players... in order to minimize stress. All that rushing and as fast as possible does produce a lot of stress and they will be burned out very quickly and then leave in order to make the same mistakes in the next game... stress, addiction and the "need" for the uber-gear as fast as possible so they are fastest and best... not healthy at all.

I disagree, a lot of the legacy players are much of the toxic players that we speak of. Not saying ALL of them but i've seen many of bad ones just on the forums alone. Couldn't imagine endgame with them. What a nightmare.

I'm legacy and I thought that legacy players would be the most toxic, but from my experience it's the new players who rushed the game and had relics+1 while everyone else was barely installing the game that are the worst to play with. On the forums I think you're right though.

You have to run that zone 70+ times per job to gear up. My first time I wanted to watch the CS but I skipped them because everyone else was. Because you can just watch it in the inn its not really a big deal.

How about you form a party without relying on "noobies", then, instead of using the Duty Finder? Don't be a douche.

I don't agree with the whole 'the developer's made it like this so that's why 'we're' like this' argument.

The developers didn't decide how you should behave towards others whether it's your first time playing through the content or hundredth time. I can definitely understand the frustration that experienced players might have, especially if you're trying to run through content quickly, but if you want constant exclusivity in your party, you're going to have to do something exclusive to the Duty Finder, making your own group with your own intentions for example.

Why the rush?

People are already done, so it's not like you can rush to it too and yell "first!" anymore.

I can understand why you're pissed, but I cannot really sympathize with it; it's highly anti-social.

I didn't really mean pissed.. More at the fact that's it's the only dungeon to farm phil tomes the fastest and it's frustrating when people lag behind, I personally have never complained about people watching cut scences but they just get left behind in my groups and have no clue what's going on.

Well done on making assumptions. Any players, legacy or not, have the potential to be Toxic.

From my perspective, its people playing the classes with the shortest queues that are the worst - I've had healers running CM in crafting gear or even no gear at all and afking on bosses to let me solo heal them and tanks that just sit at the entrance and afk, but that's just my experiences.

And to prove a point, I am legacy but if someone is new to CM when I'm running on DF then I have no problems with them watching the CS. Hell, I've even talked new healers through that place when its their first time.

TL;DR Stop making assumptions about Legacy players.
