    slashing resistance; magic defense

    first, i see slashing resistance on gear, what about piercing and blunt resistance? and what kind of attacks constitute slashing attacks?

    secondly, does anyone specifically change to high magic def gear when fighting casters?

    Gladiator/Marauder attacks are slashing. And if you mean monster attacks, generally things that would "slash" at you with claws, wings and such.
