    Things to do

Yet another question. I know that you can only do 8 leves every 36 hours and it appears 8 leves for crafting every 36 hours. My question is am I just grinding all the other times?

What do other people do when they have all their leves done each day?

Side quests I'd encourage to get them done before the next big update since they seem to lead up to it or something about the grand companies at any case. There are not that many of them but it's something besides the usual.

In addition to side quests, there are also behests (every 30 minutes), main story quests, job quests, guild tasks, and NMs. And of course you can socialize.

I must be missing something....I don't see a bunch of mobs, they are all level 1. I get leves and it gives me the same ones over and over and they are all rank 1.

Sorry, I'm not sure I'm not sure I understand the issue.

When you go to the leve counter, you can choose Battle leves for that city. The first set of leves will usually be at the starter camp. When you've leveled up high enough, you'll be offered leves for a different camp, which will be higher rank leves with higher level mobs. You have to travel to the 2nd camp to do the higher rank leves.

So in Limsa Lominsa, the first set of leves you'll be offered will be at Camp Bearded Rock. When you're high enough in level, you'll be offered leves at Camp Skull Valley. The leves at Camp Skull Valley will be better suited to someone around level 10, since they'll have higher level mobs. When you've got a job to level 13, you'll be offered leves for a 3rd camp -- Camp Bloodshore. The leves at Camp Bloodshore will be better suited for someone around rank 20.

So maybe the issue is that you're not high enough level to get leves for a higher level camp yet. Or maybe the issue is that you're only taking leves from the starter camp.

If you just want to fight higher level mobs, you can always go to a higher level camp and fight the mobs wandering around there. Even around the starter level camps, there should be plenty of mobs that are higher than level 1. You just have to venture a little ways outside of camp.

You might want to check out this "Let's Play" series of videos. It's got a pretty good beginner walkthrough.
