Future Relic Weapons

I'm thinking SE will give us some way to +2 the current relic weapons when they increase the level cap some time in future to 75 like the progression in FFXI. After that, they will probably add new ultimate/mythical/insertcoolnamehere type weapons for higher lol caps.

I don't think they will let us +2 relics, they are level 50 weapons and I am sure by the time cap goes up to 60+ they will be outclassed by higher level weapons. The reason I think this is because if they don't do that then once someone dings 50 they will just work on their relic all the way to whatever the cap goes up to and it will make any weapons put into the game after level 50 pointless if these relics are still best in slot.

Swordsman (2-handed SWD DPS Class) + MRD = Soldier (SLD)... Relic: Buster Sword; Cloud Outfit... Who needs a helmet?

what no one has any ideals what past FF weapon they would like to see appear as a Future Relic?

Actually, for Red Mage, Enhancer can be the relic and Lightbringer be legendary or whatever upper weapons tier there will be. Enhancer historically is a higher level blade that increases magic power in FF, and in XI, increased enspell damage along with attack and accuracy.

For dragoon, the step above relics can be Longinus.

Paladin can have Excalibur for legendary.

Dark Knight can have Ragnarok for relic and Apocalypse for legendary. Great Swords, both, since Apocalypse was a sword in the FFV remake and FFVII.

Magus Rod for Black Mage legendary.

Sage Staff for White Mage legendary.

It be nice if future relics require older relics as a requisite.

Imagine if suddenly older content becomes irrelevant and people begin to skip stuff, making the old world/dungeons/etc useless.

Just make it so the old gives rise to the new, don't let the old stuff become meaningless. Most mmo's do this.
