Future Relic Weapons

I would really love Arcanist relics to be based on best-selling books. Something like The Da Vinci Code. They could also have a fake, useless relic called Twilight.

I suppose Deathbringer could be a nice relic status weapon for Dark Knights but I'd rather Ragnarok made its way back mostly because I give Deathbringer the same status as I do the Blood Sword or even the Ancient Sword: an iconic FF weapon but never really a contender for end game weapons in various FF entries. Since this game has quite a few FFXII motifs I'd imagine Chaos Blade to make an appearance since it debuted in the Ivalice games. I can't wait for the Ryunohige to make an appearance as well although it's more commonly known in other FFs as Dragon Whisker but it prob won't be given Legendary weapon status unless they release Ultimate weapons in batches like they did in XI which I doubt they'd do.

I wonder if we'll be able to keep upgrading relic weapons into different stages and have them given different names.

I'm thinking SE will give us some way to +2 the current relic weapons when they increase the level cap some time in future to 75 like the progression in FFXI. After that, they will probably add new ultimate/mythical/insertcoolnamehere type weapons for higher lol caps.

I don't think they will let us +2 relics, they are level 50 weapons and I am sure by the time cap goes up to 60+ they will be outclassed by higher level weapons. The reason I think this is because if they don't do that then once someone dings 50 they will just work on their relic all the way to whatever the cap goes up to and it will make any weapons put into the game after level 50 pointless if these relics are still best in slot.

Sadly no since it is a ilvl 70 weapon but you can save it for Vanity slot (assuming they add a Vanity slot for weapons)
